I've not done one in a while! Cooking Ramble!

Join me in my battle against my hungry belly as I whip up some bangers & mash & do a lickle bit of ramblin.

P.S this beautiful dish isn't mine. The final result was gobbled up long before my camera was ever thought of! 🤣

Haha you and your perfect timing. Just got my own dinner ready so I'll listen while eating. 😁👌

I haven't had bangers and mash in ages! Also, very interesting to hear you talking about the fasting/insulin spikes. Definitely something I'll be looking into more now.

Anonymous

Boi, it has been a while. If I’m correct the last one was the Breakfast ASMR ? Making my own dinner right now so it’s only fair to listen 😋 💜

Catherine

Why are you so friggin cute? Edit: IF really does work and you don't really get hungry.

I’m doing intermittent fasting but I follow the 16:8 diet. If I only did it once a day I would likely hurt someone’s feelings.

Anonymous

Cooking Ramble...... yippeeee!! ❤️🧑🏼‍🍳

You're braver than I am, Gael. I hate the taste of broccoli! LOL

Anonymous

Thank you G! I love your cooking rambles. 🧸 Most cultures used to be much shorter years before. Each generation get progressively taller with better nutrition and healthcare. I was born in a town in Wisconsin that has a Cornish settlement from early 1800’s, and the ceiling height inside the buildings is around 5’ 5”. That said there’s a lot of history that speak of giants which is fascinating too! 🤓

Anonymous

Of course you chose a food with a suggestive name. 😂😜

Anonymous

I love your rambles, it feels like I'm sitting there with you having laughs😄❤

Anonymous

So I’m a few minutes into the audio and you start talking about intermittent fasting. You know what’s funny? I have literally been spending the last couple of hours researching that, evaluating if that’s something worth doing and being very keen about. All BEFORE listening to your audio. What? Is there some kind of universal force behind this? Like, is this a sign? 🧐🤔👀 And you know what’s even funnier? It has happen before! On another audio you talked about yoga and I had literally started yoga that day before listening to you! And I haven’t regretted it! So I’ll follow the sign! 😄😄

I love your Rambles it's like we are friends visiting you, and your making dinner! Love ya Sweet Cheeks!

Anonymous

Jen Ohh

Laughed pretty hard at the robot voice "body of christ" 😂😂

Anonymous

I'm halfway in and I'm still hoping you'll make the sweet potatoes properly.

Laura

Your rambles are my favorite. I cannot wait to listen 🥰

Anonymous

I love your natural speaking voice, I've heard you say people have asked you to slow down your speech but I enjoy hearing you ramble and giggle. You genuinely sound so happy 😊. And I would love a Seanie bot

For anyone who is doing intermittent fasting, may I ask how long you’ve been doing it for?

From what I understand, although there are health benefits associated with intermittent energy restriction (IER), a lot of the data is based on short term studies (e.g., days to months). Certainly IER has existed for ages in some form or another (like Ramadan, for example). But I question how sustainable it is over the long term in modern society, especially given that most of us aren’t hunters/gatherers.

If someone is looking to lose weight, then they need a caloric deficit. Whether that’s achieved through IER, ketogenic diet, Mediterranean diet, etc., they’ll probably all work. But if one is looking to live a healthier lifestyle (which may or may not involve weight loss), the changes they make need to be sustainable, the sorts of things they could live with long term.

For anyone who is doing a special kind of dietary practice (e.g., intermittent fasting, keto diet, vegan, vegetarian, DASH diet, anything really), is it something you’ve been doing for a long time or can see yourself doing for a long time? Asking for a friend I like to call my own curiosity 🤔

Finally...ASMR kitchen! How did the meal turn out?

Anonymous

Thanks G! I enjoy these rambles so much. I can just envision everything that is happening. It's like I'm right there with you, watching you do your thing! Really enjoyed it.😊😂🤩😃

I started about 2 weeks ago with the bulk of the fasting taking place while I sleep. I try not to eat for 12 hours. Also not eating for 2hours before I go to bed. I got the idea from Dr. Ian Smith.

G, it’s funny you brought up intermittent fasting. It’s the only thing apart from eating more vegan meals each week that appeals to me in the least. I’ve pretty much shouted from the hilltops that I am never wasting another second of my life writing in a gotdamned food journal. 😉💕✨💕

CP

i just fell even more with Gael, cooking a vegan meal. my heart 💕

Anonymous

G, you should voice some of these up and coming house robots. But your voice - not your robot voice. Gael or Seanie voice options. 👍

Anonymous

When do you add the BRUSSEL SPROUTS?????????😁😁😁

Anonymous

That's some good craic and cooking budd!!! I was on the train while listening to this "earlier" and two ladies were starring at me and then look at each other although they were not sitting together.. I bet they were too curious about what I'm listening to that makes me laugh and grin most of the time 😂😂 Sorry ladies, this is some Gaelforce stuff you don't know about 😏😏

Nikki Elendil

Oh dear but you are adorable. Thanks for some of the info about the intermittent fasting.

Anonymous

I'm only at the first few minutes but gaaaah Gael is so cute. "I'm gonna betray my people because I'm using sweet potatoooooo!" 😂

Anonymous

This put me in a great mood! Lifted my spirits right on up! ☝😄😁

Soooo, just now listening to this and I actually do intermittent fasting, and I actually also only eat once a day. And it actually works, lovelies. I’ve lost about three full dress sizes in under a year. Could have a lot to do with a bit of a chronic stressor that’s not going away soon either, and I didn’t come to the once-a-day thing with diet on my mind...it’s just how it shook out, but I realized I actually felt better after a week or two. Like more energy. It’s worth a try!
