Yaaaaay! 💚 Edit: Yes, I *would* go to that car wash even though I know I'd freak out because I'm kinda claustrophobic ("kinda" because I can push through) and I'm a chicken with haunted house kind of things...but, I still go 😂 Donors are INCREDIBLY amazing. Nuff said. Standing ovation to the young ladies that got the app going. Such a great idea! I know what you mean about car accidents. Things tend to freeze and my ears ring. I've been in a few. Dealt with sleezy "lawyers" as well. 😂 And no matter how long it's been, I hope your friend's child is still doing well. On. His. Back?! Epic story. I love hearing you play your guitar, B minor freak outs and all. Please keep it coming. You're doing great. 😁 And above all, thank you SO very much for covering us in your big blanket of happiness.

Thank You!!!!!! 💜💜💜

Sooooooo needed this today!! Had a COVID scare at work and just had a crazy day as a result! Thank you!!!! 💚💚💚

Anonymous

Ohh what great timing! I’m listening to some of your old rambles and this one pops up, so listen to it I shall 😊

Anonymous

You are an awesome human! I’ve been sitting here trying to figure out what to do with myself tonight and my iPad dinged with a notification. Get outta my brain! No wait. Stay there. As long as you want. Please and thank you. ❤️ Edited to add: I literally laughed out freaking loud with the story about you and your brother treating each other’s wounds. I don’t want to laugh at your pain, but damn that hilarious the way you told it. You two sound like Conor and Jock, only buffer. 😂

Anonymous

You should see my reaction when I saw your post!!!! Was bouncing in bed like a happy baby lol.. Rushing to have a listen!!!! Totally need some positive enerdree and good news ❤💚❤💚

Laura

Thank goodness... he should totally be sleeping. 😁

Every fiber of my being is exhausted, after standing in line for two hours for ... ‘something’ 🤐 I won’t say the P word 😂 I started a playlist of these cool mystery cases before bed last night and I think I may have heard half of one and have to start all over 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s a struggle

Anonymous

And once again your kind and beautiful heart comes through for the win. You. Are. Awesome. 💥❤🤗, my precious one.

Anonymous

thank you, I'll enjoy this when I got home from work, all polls will be officially closed and I'll need to distraction. Thank you for all you do to help us....

Okay so this is going to be SUPER cheese ball but one thing I really enjoy about listening to you play guitar is knowing that one day (maybe a year from now) you may revisit this ramble and see how much you’ve progressed since recording this. That makes my heart very happy. 😍 Also my nephew was given a second chance at life and received a donated heart at 4 months old. He’s 7 months now and is doing really well. We are forever grateful to his donor. 💙🤍

So I'm commenting while I'm listening, the stuff about the chord changes is making me laugh out loud - I did the whole thing with buying the ukulele when we went into lockdown here in Melbourne. I learned guitar in high school but it never really took (and it's a long, long while ago...), and the ukulele is much much less intimidating, especially when it's turquoise! But I know EXACTLY what you mean about the chord change anxiety - Bm and Bflat are both giving me major anxiety at the moment and you totally called me out about avoiding songs with those chords in, I've been doing that and I shouldn't be! I initially had the anxiety around Em, but I'm getting much better with that one, so you've reminded me not to avoid them. Thank you so so much for this ramble/podcast. I've got some (hopefully good) personal news coming today and the wait is very difficult, not to mention worrying about our friends in the US and in Europe. You're the best! I'm off to play my uke a bit to pass the time xxxxxx Edit1: I got my news, it was good. New job next week 😁 Edit 2: did you mean to pun about the fluke? As the lobes on the whale's tail are called flukes 😄😄

Anonymous

Yay for Milo! ❤️ And it’s so true with the revisits. I do that with old uke videos now.

How many times did Gael use the F word in this ramble? Don't count 😜😜🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 This ramble was such a mood switcher and thanks for sharing all the funny, hilarious and heart warming stories with us! Loved the ocean wave sounds in the background and your guitar playing was soooo good 😍🥰❤❤ Bless your kind heart and soul 🙏❤❤

Here I am feeling a bit news fatigued and Gael comes along to serenade me and warm my heart!🥰❤ Chris Isaak❤ I saw him in concert, and he sounds amazing in person!🎶 Plus the flashy costume changes throughout the night, he's a real showman. I'm also very pleased to report that he is a really nice guy! He stayed after the show and signed an autograph for every. single. person. I also saw a story not too long ago that this big star still goes over to his mother's house to mow her lawn every week. Just a solid dude.😄 I heard that cheeky little beard scratch, G, haha!😍❤ Holy shit, those accidents sound harrowing! I want to give you a hug.🤗❤ I had to laugh at that solicitor story. My goodness.😅😂😂 Thank you for sharing these stories at just the right time. So much love to you. Muah!😚❤❤❤❤

Eric von Habsburg

American here, I am having insane wracking anxiety. This election is SO close and I can’t understand why!? 😭 Why have Americans lost there empathy for their fellow man and for kindness and respect. Trump needs to be voted out and I just don’t understand this. Anywaaaaay, this is helping with my adrenaline levels haha.

What a wonderful audio to wake up to 🥰 you are truly a wonderful human, bless your heart 🤗 I'd be happy to help out with the Japanese if you teach me more Gaelic. It's definitely easier to pronounce for me 😂 I've had my fair share of car accidents so I don't drive anymore, but to my defense people are crazy here and if you can drive here, you can drive anywhere for sure! 😂 Your stories about your brother makes me miss my twin sister, all the mischief we got up to when we were young. And I get you on the gut feel, I always trust mine and I've rarely been proven wrong. This has been better than doing yoga or meditation, thanks for starting my day right, I'll be smiling all day now 😁

Anonymous

Good morning. This is a wonderful surprise. I got up a bit early to get some light therapy in 🥰 Perfect companion. Bless your heart ❤️

Thank you very much I needed a distraction from the sadness for a few minutes 💖

The story about meeting with the solicitor had me howling. 😂😂 I mean, tears streaming down my face. And I’ve always had that gut instinct thing when I meet new people. My friends have finally accepted the fact that if I tell them somebody has bad vibes or gives me a weird feeling, they need to steer clear of them. I’ve been right too many times. I try to follow my gut/intuition in every situation though, really. I agree with you about situations where creepy peckerheads try to flatter us ladies & offer us things - like we are in a state of lack and they have what we need. It’s predatory to me & really pisses me off when a man assumes he can even approach me like that. At this point, when it happens on social media I just block them cuz I don’t have the energy to waste my time berating them for being an asshole when I know they’ll wake up tomorrow being an asshole again regardless of what I say, but any time a man has ever approached me that way in person it brings out my temper & I unleash on them. They deserve it. I think some men get off on making us feel uncomfortable & seeing us squirm. I once turned around & walked directly back to some guys doing landscape work @ my office building when one of them whistled & yelled something very disrespectful at me as I went by. I stood directly in front of him & asked if he’d be cool with some shithead doing that to his daughter or sister or mother. “No, ma’am.” Then fuck off. 😂 Anyways, thanks for the waves & good news & geetar, big man. 💚🦁

Such a great way to keep me going through the day. Your stories put a smile on my face and I am all energetic now! Thank you for cheering us up! P/S: so much ouch listening to the accident story 😫 so much ouch

Anonymous

Omg you’re such a sweetheart, always looking out for us 🥺❤️😭 The laughter in your voice is so endearing even when you’re describing such harrowing events. I really appreciate your lighthearted and very genuine take on things with sage wisdom peppered in 💚🙏🏼 You really took my mind off of the madness of the world rn. Cults are so bizarre fr, when I was living in LA they would prey upon people constantly it seemed like. With Scientology and Hollywood in general there can be such a sinister vibe and dark seedy underbelly. I watched a bit of the Keith R interview when you mentioned it, and it seems like the pretentious ramblings of a smooth talker that’s actually full of shit 🙄😒 but also it reminded me of a similar cult like grip that Epstein and Weinstein had over people for so long as well 🤮🤢 There’s this weird charisma around them thats very captivating, it really should be studied. Bob Marley said it best tho: You can fool some people sometimes but you can’t fool all the people all the time. But yes gut feelings are SO IMPORTANT!! People test boundaries all the time to find out who they can take advantage of. It’s super disturbing. They take an inch here and there and suddenly it’s a mile. That’s something I’ve had to work on in life definitely, setting healthy boundaries. Btw this is hella long I’m sorry but there’s always so much I want to respond to in your rambles! But if you haven’t seen ‘The Devil All the Time’ on Netflix I think you might like it. It’s about similar things like the cult like grip of fanaticism and how people who seem the most moral are actually the most twisted. But yeah anyway, it is what it is 😩😅

“All that and a box of biscuits!” wins over “and a bag of chips” every time from here on out (since this is the first I’ve heard it) 😁

Anonymous

Thank you for saying that about video games 🥺 People say a lot about that they’re bad for you but I’ve been playing more complex videogames for ten years and it has significantly improved my fine motor skills and I’m much quicker now at being able to tell left from right. The story about the bike and your brother 😳 😳 I pictured the whole thing and made me laugh and also cringe. Ooouuuchhh! I will never complain about my mirror scar again 🤗🥺

Anonymous

I'm about to go to sleep ... a notification appears ... ok sleep can wait. Now to sleep with a smile and laugh on my face. Hopefully I can stop laughing so I can sleep. Thank you for those stories, just in the morning on the news I heard about the whale's tail hahaha. I love the rambles and when you play the guitar. Thank you for making our days happier and better!

This was Awesome and very much Appreciated🙂 Thank🙏You MUCH♥️LOVE

Gael, thank you. You always seem to know what we need when we need it or even before we need it. I hope you truly know how loved and appreciated you are by us Lovelies!

I see the tag Gut instinct and think of my three naughty brothers. Do you know what they call me when we discuss a topic and they have things to get sure? they say: let’s ask The Gut Father, lol Well what a beautiful surprise to wake up to. Honestly I kinda knew you’d post this today or should I say I had this good gut instinct, so yep let’s enjoy the marvelous you while having breakfast 🥐☕️

I always love your rambles, and these comment may be a bit rambly; this day has a tad stressful, so as usual you gave a nice distraction. Doesn't surprise me at all that you been in crashes. I'm always surprised people don't trust their gut, if something is seems to good to be true, it usually is, question everything! All that and a box of biscuits, I may steal that. I've always been slightly claustrophobic in a car wash, but I feel dumb about it, so I push thru. Love it all, love you, and thank you!

Anonymous

I love listening to ASMR waves. Next best thing if I can't bring the ocean to me. This ramble is just what I needed, something light and human.

Best wake up call in a long time ♥🍀 Omg, that lawyer was a nutter! 😂😂 I was in a car crash a few years back. My friend was driving and it was like "pääkallo-keli" as we say it here. It translates to "skull weather", basically it means the roads are like mirror smooth ice, very dangerous. Anyway, we were going very slow and careful and still the car took off. There was woods on the other side and a snow covered field on the other. We swirled 360 degrees with the car and thankfully landed on the field without any major harm on us. It's true like, the only flesh injury was this little thing that came from a tooth pick on my hand! 😂🙈 Well the ptsd was real afterwards, I still get scared if the driver thinks he/she is a god behind the wheel. My heart rate goes up and I close my eyes so I can't see how the car goes. I just wanted to thank you for this ramble, your way of telling stories is the best ♥ I can imagine you sitting there, eyes wide and excited to tell the story, it can be heard in the voice 😊♥🍀 Just like when people say you can hear the person smiling on the phone, I can imagine yours. 😊 This really helped me think about something else. This week has been stressfull. Just had a talk on monday about a job that will be emotionally really hard and I have another oportunity where I know it wouldn't be so stressfull. Anyway it was an "interview" online and this person that was with me in person talking to the others, told me in her words that she thinks this stressfull workplace would be better for me than the other and was almost sounding disappointed I wasn't jumping up and down with excitement. I've been in 3 places like that before working, I know the stress isn't in my imagination. The other place would give me online-shop, teaching& selling experience, so basically my heart is yelling at me to ask again for that one, they said they'll consider me the last time I asked and told me to be in touch in December. I'm sorry I seem to be pouring a whole novel here 😅😅😅 Anyway thank you Lion Luv for this, your voice, smiles&giggles & energy always lifts my spirits ♥🍀 Have a happy rest of the week, and can't wait to hear what you have coming for the weekend! 🤗😚

Another Other Jen

You’re the best! This was so nice and chill and comforting. Today sucked and I see no end to it anytime soon, but I say this with all possible affection—you’re such a dork. And a delight. Bless you, man. 😆 (But for gosh sake, take care on the roads! Good golly...)

I haven’t listened the whole thing, but the image of you listening and watching waves on YT to clear your head is adorable 🥺 🌊 ✨

I was supposed to edit my comment but I accidentally pressed the delete button 😫 Anyway~ from the start up until I finished the audio I was smiling and giggling like crazy here in my room. And Thank you for that especially all those heart warming stories that you shared. Also we have the same experience about the vehicle accident😅 It happened just last year around March, we went to our province that time coz it's my Grandfather's wake. And at the same time it was my Sister's bday. They said that if today's ur bday you are close to accident and such 😅 but since I was stubborn me and my sister decided for a lil stroll in the province. We used the motorcycle of our cousin. No helmets (oh my god please dont imitate😅) and I was driving that time my sis said I was going too fast but for me I think its not lol the roads are pretty narrowed as well, full of small rocks and sand. I was rushing to go home coz we're almost out of gas and it's getting dark I don't wanna get lost you kno? But when I was about to turn right the tire hit a rock and the next thing I knew me and sister were like flying damn! 🤣 and you are right, at that moment it feels like its very quiet and it happens so fast that I thought that I'm gonna die that day. Then when we landed I checked my sissy first coz you know it's my fault and I dont know what I would do if something bad happens to her. She's fine tho just minor wounds then she was like 'Oh my god sis you're bleeding!!' Then I was like what? No? 🤣 the anxiety is too much I didn't feel any pain at all, I didn't notice that I was bleeding that time. Crowds went to our direction and they were good enough to drive us home. When we reached our house my mom was close to fainting coz I was wearing white shirts and shorts that time and it's full of blood like cmon I understand her.😅 We were rushed to the hospital and I ended up having four stiches on my chin, some hideous wounds and bruises all over my body. No broken bones and my sissy just got some minor wounds. Thank god tho! 😅 it was a very scary and fun experience afterall. Just do be careful next time 😅♥️

That was a whale if a tail about a train...I wanted to say too that you don't have to die or even have major surgery to donate and save a life. Last year my dad had a major gastrointestinal bleed abd if it weren't for people who donated blood he'd be dead. So if you wanna save a life just give blood.

Anonymous
>>47104020

This!🙏 My brother’s life was saved because of blood donors, too. It’s been 5 years now and I will never stop being a blood donor myself... It is such a fantastic and a noble thing to do, lovelies. You can save THREE precious lives by donating one unit of blood.. it's quick and easy, all it takes is ten to fifteen minutes of your time. The experience is so rewarding!

Anonymous

I donate too as often as I can.

Much needed. Thanks. That Greek guy is the personification of the goodness of humanity. I needed that story, I forget about the goodness.

This is great. Your voice is like a soothing balm on a bad burn and is much needed in these crazy time. Thank you Sir for thinking of us.😘🤗

Thank you for this, Mr. Mayor. I haven’t listened (awake) to the entire thing because this ramble is the only thing getting me to sleep these last two nights. Hearing you laugh at your own jokes/comments is such a delight. Hearing anyone laugh right now is ... something. When mediations or sleep audios don’t work and my stomach is in knots, I usually listen to podcasts. I know things are bad when I can’t even listen to true crime in bed but have to stick to comedy. So it’s down to G rambles, Conan and Paul F Tompkins to get me through the next little while to keep me from snapping like a twig. You are too precious and thoughtful and I thank ye for thinking of our well being. Ok back to sleep now 😴🎧💖🌈

Anonymous

Thank you for this. Just listening to this in the background while going about my day and feeling the stress knots in my stomach slowly dissipate is amazing. These stories are amazing! Bless you! 🥰

Anonymous

Thank you for this adorable ramble, babe! You really helped me to relax. I love listening to your voice while I am cooking haha. Also, hearing you playing guitar makes me excited to keep learning to play too. Your stories were adorable, you are very kind hearted and I am glad of being part of this community. All the love, and it is always a pleasure to have you in my life (even if it is just your voice) ❤❤

Considering you covered organ donation and crashes, it’s cool to hear you focus on the bright side of things (because mixing the two topics together could easily bum someone out)! I was in a hit-and-run accident with a drunk driver several years ago. My friend was driving and we were rear-ended, and the guy just kept driving. My friend’s mom had just passed away unexpectedly and we were already feeling sensitive, but the crash made her lose it. Crashes are a big pain in the ass in California because of insurance and having to deal with repairs/reporting damages. The guy was driving slow, but swerving and running red lights - and my friend was crying - and I just got so pissed off. So, I said: follow that car! I wrote down the license plate, color, make/model, location, etc. A few blocks away, the guy stopped his car in front of what turned out to be his apartment. We drove back to my friend’s house and called the cops to make a report. I gave my notes to one of the cops, and he laughed and said: whoah, we got our own Lois Lane here! He asked to keep the notes (and if I knew better, maybe I would’ve written my phone number because he was cute and flirty - but I have a rule about dating cops 😂). So, haha...”Lois Lane”....it took a while for me to live that one down. Hence the name 😏 Motor bikes will seriously fuck you up — like crushed limbs and permanent disability — please don’t get on one again 🤕

You’re a human sedative. ❤️🙏🏼 😴

Love your voice 💓💞 this ramble helps me to relax and continue with the days 🥰🤗🤗

Chelie

I feel you might get a kick out of this. So you introduced me to the Good News Network. I started teaching Journalism last year and I created a good news report project for my students. They have to pick a story from the site, create a slideshow, and then present it to class. Presentations take about 2-3 days of pure positivity. I just listened to this ramble on my walk and am happy to report I was familiar with some of the stories because my students reported on them last week. See your reach is farther than you think. 😉

Blender $hawty

Omg, I have always told my friends that NO ONE can give them the happiness that they have not yet found in themselves. The liberation and independent power that comes with that self-realization is crazy. You’re dropping absolute mental value bombs here. Elevating self-esteem and mindsets as you do what you love. You go dude!! You’d be a great life coach haha

One of my favourite songs wicked games.... I have a jack daniels pick, I would say you can have it but bugger that you would just lose it haha

Your guitar playing and singing/harmonizing is lovely! I wonder if ye would take requests... 🤔🎶😄
