Sit back and relax with me.  We'll listen to some music and I'll tell you some stories from my mad life as told way back when.  You'll hear about some ideas that ended up becoming audios (Naughty Gaelic!) and marvel with me over how we've grown so amazingly thanks to you.

Much love and all the muahs.

Oh Gaelie, I’m your retro listener since mid 2017 and I never heard of this?!Anyways, thxies for the revisit. I’m so excited 😍😍

Revisits are great, but revisit rambles are the BEST! They’re like a little time capsule of where you were at that moment. Definitely my favorites. Here, have a cuppa Barry’s. I’ve got plenty and it’ll definitely warm you up! I have to tell you, I went and downloaded Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole after I heard this ramble a while back. When my daughter broke up with her ex and was dealing with shit from him, I sent her this song. She learned to sing it loud. Thank you so much for introducing me to your traffic song! ❤️

Anonymous

“Seven Drunken Nights” is pretty epic! 🤣🤣 I’m so happy to see a ramble revisit. I hope you’re having a stress free Sunday. ☺️

Anonymous

Great ramble. Your energy is so infectious! Perfect for this quiet Sunday at home. Love the music!❤😊

Anonymous

Starboy by The Weekend and Bloody MFA by Martha Wainwright 🙌 🙌🙌🙌🙌 P.s yes you are right with -meine Freunde- which means my friends. Your German is good 😘 I also got curious about the naughty audio. That one needs a revisit as well ...

Anonymous

always love your rambles. thank you for making this holiday season in this year of insanity easier. customer service aint easy even in a "sane" year, let alone this year where everyone is already cranky cause of everything is so insane. So thank you. Giant atomic Heart Hugs For You! And of course a boop on the nose

Hahaha bug boy. Your Mum sounds like someone I’d love to hang around with LOL She reminds me of one of my old lady friends I had in SF, Annie. She owned a dark, smokey, comfy cozy bar. Her husband had passed years ago and all of a sudden she had this boyfriend, and being the good children we were, tried to run him off because we had drunkenly decided one early morning that he was evil. 🤣 He wasn’t really, we were just idiots. Annie yelled at us for at least an hour. And we had to apologize to Gerry. Lol Fun ramble 😆

I was walking *my* dog this morning listening to this, the part when you were telling the story about your mum and you got to the punchline "the dog's a fuckin' eejit" I laughed out loud, startled the poor puppy who darted in front of me and I damn near tripped over him! So, thanks for nearly killing me 😉😂 In Australia the "c-word" is similarly used, almost a term of endearment, these days. It was definitely taboo when I was a kid, but now it's not unusual to hear mates greeting each other with "Owsit garn ya carrrnt!" (Not everyone drags their words out like that, but a lot do) and I've worked in very male dominated industries with tradies for a long time so it's a word I'm less sensitive to than other people. As soon as you said Martha Wainwright I knew the song you were going to mention, I've loved her music for years but that song... when it was not long out, she came out to Oz and was a guest on our local music quiz show "Spicks and Specks". They couldn't say the name of the song on air, so Ross Noble dubbed it "Bloody Monkey Fluffing Aerosol" which was apparently something to use if your monkey's fur was looking a bit flat! So I can't listen to that song now without thinking of that 😂

I agree, I love these revisit rambles...they’re all new to me, though so I have an advantage (or disadvantage) there. 😂 And I’d never heard that song until today - But I felt it in my soul. lol

You're really everything I need currently haha. Whether I feel lonely, sad or can't fall asleep. You help me with so many things. You're actually my first and only Patreon Membership and I don't need anything else 💜 Your voice instantly makes me calm down and I'm so happy I found your channel and can be part of this community. Wish you all the best and stay safe 🥰🥰

Lol your mom sounds like an awesome lady! My dad has a really dry sense of humor like that too, it always makes me laugh. It’s obvious how much your family means to you, it’s really very sweet. This was lovely, I hadn’t heard most of these songs! All of your rambles are so endearing! 🥺🧡

I think it would be nice if you could do an updated ramble with your favourite Irish songs and tell us about them. Just a thought 💚

Anonymous

Is it just me or maybe your microphone has changed since but your voice seems deeper now in more recent rambles and audios...extra sexy in any case, it’s a gorgeous revisit thank you sweet man ❤️🍀👏🏻

Sweet memories. I grew up with my grandparents and they didn't have much, so I appreciated everything. My grandfather always drank wild irish rose.. I can see that bottle now. So he'd sit in his chair and get silly drunk. My grandmother was always in the kitchen. And I would take off into the woods with my friends the dogs and create the most magical stories. I appreciate that so much. Innocent.

I think it's several mics ago, if this was end of 2015! The technology changes so quick.

This was a new ramble to me and I loved every single minute. You have this beautiful gift of making us feel like we are just hanging out with our bestie and laughing together. Your humor and warmth always shine through. Thank you for inviting us in and sharing a bit of yourself with us. 💥❤🤗 and a big Muah! PS Stories about your family are always my favorite. Your mom is a riot.

I think that Martha Wainwright song is on Big Little Lies! I always wondered what song it was, but never looked it up. I love when you sing to us 🥰☺

Maria

Thanks for sharing this moment. Love the laughs and the easy way of how easy it is to feel in the same room with you. I know that first song!! Thank you for sharing the name of it, I finally know it 😁

Your personality’s so endearing & this felt like sitting there with you. It’s always fun learning more about you and the music was nice, too. “Bloody MFA” on repeat for a while. lol...I never heard the Christmas song you played but now it’s stuck in my head for the rest of time. *Dumble dumble dum dum 🤓 It’s Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song” for me. Thanks for sharing this one, it was lovely.

This was a new one for me and I absolutely enjoyed how warm and fuzzy yet silly and upbeat this was. I'm in a fit of giggles.

The ‘Drunk ya drunk silly ya fool’ (does it sound right? Lol) had me dyin! Such an upbeat and silly song 😭🤣🤣 and thank you for sharing some of your wonderful memories when you were a kid, it means a lot to us. I'd ADORE if Gael took a shot singing "Alexander Hamilton". *Hears collective groans* Nah, really. I have Gael Faith it'd be swell! Yeah, C*nt is one of those hugeeeee F Bombs out here. So is C*ck. Unless we are talking about the town Roosters 🐓 Always gotta laugh at the can of "Spotted Dick" in the Brit Section of the Grocery Store. If you're called a real c*nt by another chick who is not your bff, you know you're beyond a bitch. That's a Dante level kinda bitch.

My Mum could ruin a funeral. And she would! She was angry at her own funeral, but I'd be too. She wasn't Irish but the kinda chick who'd go gangster to your face rather than talk behind your back. Which I have found to be an easier adversary than the ones who cooly strike you down with nice words coated in apathy. Attack me from the front, not the back. I love that Snoop Doggy Dog. Snoop and Martha Stewart forever. My Mum would get so mad at bill collectors. "What should I do? Huh? Hike up my skirt and walk around Colfax? Colfax is a long street known for those things. My Dad is another handful. My Stepmum always orders that junk from the mailers and radio. One was a beauty cream. Then they put it on auto ship. He calls customer service and says "so this guarantees you'll see results? Well, she's looking like the same old bag to me. It doesn't work!" He gets real wired up. A lady asked us what we would want written on Stepmum's Bday Cake. Dad is so used to being on the phone he yells "ENGLISH." Oh, Dad. Can't say my parents don't say what they mean. :) Good Jobbb!

This really was an unexpectedly perfect, chill break from life. Nothing soothes like music, and the banter was lovely. Thanks for this! It reminds me of some of my favorite live albums of some of my fave folk/Celtic musicians—there’s a lovely rhythm to the storytelling, it’s possibly part of why Gael’s banter instantly feels so comfortable to me. I admit, I avoided most of the rambles when I first joined Patreon because I didn’t imagine that real life stuff could be particularly interesting in comparison to the fictional storytelling I love so much, until I gave one a chance and went oh!!!! He’s telling stories in these too! 😅 (...good golly, 2016 feels so long ago... what even was life in 2016? 😵 I wish I’d found you back then though, and that it hadn’t taken The Year the World Ended to land here.)

Anonymous

(Was this one of the first audios you posted on Patreon? A while ago I went back to listen to earlier stuff, but I think I couldn’t play this one for some reason.) You’re sounding a bit more polished in your rambles these days 😉 But, I love that you played some music - I saw Martha Wainwright with her brother, Rufus, years ago. I like their style that’s kinda dark/sentimental/cheeky/ironic. It’s also cool to listen to you before you took the big leap to make this your full-time job. You’re talented at what you do, and your craft is worth it. But, aside from that, you’re so special in that you appreciate and embrace the entirety of us lovelies - all of our perceived flaws, the things that make us question our worth(iness), often feeling like we’re too much or not enough, etc....and still make us feel incredibly desirable. That’s why I think you’re a true writer, as well as an entertaining storyteller. And a nice person. And I wonder what other projects you had planned at the beginning of this year! How much did you have to juggle and adapt to take care of us through all the yuckiness? Anyway, I admire you for sticking with it through the years. So very proud of you, Gael!! You cunt. 🤗😘

How do you think we can make this happen, Loly? 🙂 or even an interactive with the other Lovelies... I have this one song in Irish I can’t find anywhere I keep wanting to send to G. Hmmm 🤔

My traffic song is Ludacris "Move b**** Get Out The Way". I love going back and listening to your rambles.🥰🥰🥰
