Let's take stores, taverns, and player-run businesses to the next level! Next month (in addition to Tome of Pirates) I'm posting Running Stores & Taverns, a collection of resources for stores and merchants.

This project focuses on two areas. It includes content to help you create memorable taverns and shops, with detailed tables and prewritten NPCs. But it also adds systems and suggestions for player-run stores, opening up new possibilities for roleplay and commercial progression.

I think this should be a really practical and useful supplement for many of you, especially if you plan to run games in towns and larger urban environments. I'm excited to share it!

That's perfect!

Uhh that is super helpful! It’s one of the most feared questions: what’s the name of the shop or what’s the name of the shopkeeper 🤣 I’m excited to read it!

Will there be info for running something like an adventurers guild? One of my players is starting one in a recovering kingdom and I’m not sure where to start.

Very nice work recently , me and my friends are going to adapt some of the blood and silk content into our ebberon Sharn campaign and I think my dm will find this very helpful.

Very excited for this. A interesting tavern can keep my players occupied for an entire session.

I like the idea of creating a more in-depth store, it can make the world more immersive. I usually just say something along the lines of "the shop sells this, this, and this. Do you want to buy anything".

My players are working on buying the apothecary in Drunkards Perch right now. Small problem of the Nightsong Gang also trying to get control of it. Of course they need the distribution for their drugs.
