 0.2.0 Patch Notes

  (Heroes & Villains) :
- Additional Content:
11 Concept Arts  3 Tryout-outfits images  4 WiP new characters images

- Technical information

  • Version: 0.2.1
  • Weight: 1.64GB
  • Weight Packed: 503MB
  • 144 2K images
  • 140 fullHD Portraits

- General

  • COMPLETE rework of the game core. Game is no longer a driven story but a time based story game. Move freely around the map and choose actions to progress.
  • REAL Save/Load feature. You now have 3 slots for you to save your progress at any given time and place. Accessible via pause menu. (unfortunately this means you’ll have to start over)
(Exclusive Version):
TRANSPORT system
. Once per day when you go towards the city you’ll be prompted with a scene that will vary according to your situation. It’s a way to reward or punish stats in the future
(Standard Version):
New
outfit: casual clothes 02
New character: Scout
New scenario: Mei’s Bar

- Content

(Standard Version):
Day1
(after infection) has been added

- Features

  • Cutscenes vs Situations. Situations are actions chosen by the player, either main quest or secondary. Cutscenes are scenes that happen for being at the right moment at the right time. Both have been implanted and added.
  • Quest actions are “Situations” that block every other situation on the map. There’s something you have to do. There’s still missing a popup alerting the player where to go, but they are there.
(Exclusive Version):
Introducing
consequences to actions. There’s now one action that slightly changes the text in a future scene. It’s just a proof of concept for now, but it will be available in future versions.
Introducing multiple paths. The action mentioned above is a quest action which you can resolve in two different ways.

- Community Feedback

  • There’s now a black screen covering each location that avoids the 1-frame visualization of the map
  • Quest icons now bounce to increase their visibility
  • All transition times have been at least halved to make the game flow faster.
  • Shower scene should now work as intended.

I was thinking, if you're going to need some support or where to promote your work, you can give a look to: www.thecreatorsclub.altervista.org , new entries are always welcome :)

Yes they are, I'm working on adding more "additional" scenes but I had to plant the seeds of the storyline before that.

Great update, still an amazing game. Can we expect more updates/content in the future soon or do you plan to do regular release dates (f.e. 01. every mounth)?

For now I'll stick with the big updates once in a while for a reason (I'd probably should and will make a post about it ;P): I'm still developing the engine (and always will, since there's always room for improvement) and many key features I want to add are still work in progress. What I've been doing and I think everyone seems to like is focus on developing one major engine change on each patch and add new content, so there's no version without content or features. First there was the engine test which just allowed you one decision. Then I introduced the spare time system. Then I reworked the engine and added real Save and Load. And I plan on adding Stats for the next update (so secondary scenes gain value). This is a shitton of work since I also have to create and assemble the content with each new feature developed (so not only I know it works but also people has the chance to test it), which means I already barely reach each release date alive :P. Once the engine is solid or if people actually prefer it the other way I'll consider adding smaller packs of content, like side-quests on their own or new locations. PS ---- On a side note ... would you actually want one scene per week or something like that instead of an actual "semi-chapter" enclosed once in a while? ---
