Handover: Edge(runners) of the Moon Pt1 (Patreon)

Come one, come all, wild ones and those on the edges of society, come fly with me to the moon, chooms! It’s once again time to handover between versions, and that’s our chance for some fun and artistry just for the hell of it. This time ‘round, it’s some heart and soul and chrome as we’re running “the edge of this town in the smoky haze and dimming lights, flying away…”

Last week I had myself a little Birthday time off to recharge and shoot up in inspiration, and 1 of the things I used my time on was finally catching up with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the anime. My verdict was that it was… fair enough. It’s is visually and musically great though, and there was 1 scene that rather touched the romantic in me. I thought an homage for it would make for a perfect chance to try practice with skyboxes, something I’ve been wanting to try focus on a little anyways. The accompanying track (“I Really Wanna Stay at Your House) also brought straight to my mind Kelsey’s personal struggles in romance, caught between 2 worlds, and so this handover was born…!

I know it’s near impossible to convey the feeling of sound, story and imagery in just a single (or double) still picture, especially since a lot of it is my own character canon in my head, but I hope y’all enjoy the fruits of practiced artistry all the same.

And of course, it doesn’t stop there. What’s a romantic moment without something to really touch the heart. Who ends up with our girls heart then…? And hey, Kelsey’s been in 3 of these now, so there’s got to be something for Noe and Frankie’s fans too, there must! So…

And that’s our slice of otherworldly fun, at least for now. Time to get feet back on terra firma, and back in the kitchen to save Little Toscana! As of now, we’re officially handed over to v0.32, with content already getting put to screen. The Content Poll is decided tonight (it’s still too close to call) so next week we’ll be diving back in deep for a run up to another big dish before December holidays.

We’re officially into our 6th version, off we go to make another out of this world trip to our Toscana! Until then…
