Apologies if I'm wasting your time but I wanted to ask about the following sentence: "Miria kicked her back legs behind her while dragging them over the ground until all of it disappeared" it just, sort of just dosen't make sense to me.

A polite smile uses the zygomaticus major muscle to upturn the lips but does not activate the orbicularis oculi muscle and reach the eyes. In essence, a polite smile will show on the lips, but not in the eyes. In other words, a fake smile.

Also, "The fox lady dusted her shoulder off a bunch of sparkling fragments" is a little awkward.. perhaps, "The fox lady dusted a bunch of sparkling fragments off of her shoulder."
