Arterios has never been power hungry like that. You know, to the point of wanting to become leader of the red dragons. Never mind even seeking beyond to become leader of all dragons. It has never been something he has ever wanted. So, him using that as a reason for his newly acquired Dragons Heart core to cooperate with him and his other Dragons Heart core doesn't make sense. While conquering other dragons would appeal to Asterios' new Dragons Heart core, surely there is something else that would appeal to it enough or as much that would not go against the type of person Asterios is. With the type of person he is he would not want to say just anything to get the job done but also would want to stay true to himself. And his true self never sought power to conquer and lead anyone. He has only ever sought more power to protect and defend himself, those he cares about, and the innocent. Never seeking for power to actively conquer others to become leader. So, like I said, using that as the carrot doesn't make sense with who he is as a person and what he wants, long-term, out of life.
