I've been wondering, since he basically has to use a few runes or sigils, some blood, and some of his draconic essence to form these bonds, could his mates who have achieved a connection level where they are one with him perform the ritual, using the same or similar runes, their own blood, and pulling some of his mana through their bond into it as they are somewhat extensions of him now, to create bonds where they have their own subordinates in the web? For instance Sylvia taking her maid as a servant or aid to her since they are quite close and gaining the telepathy perks? Or Grea and Tina enhancing their own familiars? We don't see their familiars around or summoned often, and they're pretty cool. Anyways, I could be wrong but it feels like Asti considers his mates his equals, they can use his energy, that rank feels like giving admin perms for them to act in his stead, even more so than with an aid.
