I have had people ask me a few questions about myself recently, mostly about my writing process. So I thought this weekend I would do an AMA. So you can write any questions you have for me below. You can ask about books, characters, my personal life (not that I have one) my writing process or anything else you like. I can't guarantee I'm going to answer them but I'll do my best. I'll keep the post open until Sunday and thne pop in throughout the next few days to answer them.

No lie, I saw AMA and I went to Against Medical Advice, and then was all, ooooo, Atticus is gonna have a field day. Anyways! When you write, do you find yourself repeating a song if it happens to fit what you are currently writing? Instead of just going through a maybe specific Playlist that has been curated for that particular book/series/character. And if so, what seems to be the most frequently replayed song and for whom(do these bells toll)? Haha. Sorry, love your writing, I literally drop everything to read your books. They are a balm to my soul that I never knew I needed, but now cannot live without.

Each character you write their voice is so distinct...how do you keep everything straight when you’re working on multiple stories/projects at the same time? I am absolute shit at multitasking and I've always wondered how the hell you do it! Do these characters just live rent free in your head?!

First, I want to wish you well and I hope your health is returning to you and you’re able to find sources of happiness and safety given all that’s going on in the world and the U.S. (saying as someone who also lives in the South—went from TX to TN 🤣). Your stories have given me so much joy and escapism over the past few years, so I am forever thankful to you and genuinely wish the best for you and your loved ones. As someone who is slowly returning to writing with the goal to begin self publishing MM romance towards the end of 2026, do you have any advice (more so on discipline and business side of things)? In terms of writing process, I know no writer is the same nor is there a universal truth to approaching writing. I’m slowly learning my own process and getting excited about characters and plots, but it feels like the pace at which authors publish is breakneck and social media management feels like it’s a job of its own. Just wondering how you manage it given you seem to handle everything so well.

I suppose I may be using this for personal gain, but I am writing a fantasy a book and you are one of my favourite authors among Cassandra Clare and Rainbow Rowell. I was wondering if you have any suggestions when it comes to the publishing route once your manuscript is finished. Do you prefer self publishing or traditional ? And if I were to start a serial publishing set up like yours which is amazing because you build a reading and fan base before even publishing the book, how does one set that up? Freckles and Coe are my go to comfort read/listen when the world gets to big and scary for me. I work for the govt and needless to say the last 5 months have been rough, but you keep things a little brighter for me and I appreciate all the effort you put into keeping your readers happy, to many times to the detriment of yourself. I do have questions, but it’s 2AM where I am and my cognitive skills are currently down the drain but… I just wanted to also send a message to say thank you for all the work that you do! I re-read and re-listen to basically your entire published work on a monthly basis (as well as obsessively getting excited for Core Four and Vengeful Bonds updates!) because it is 100% my comfort. I know that may sound strange due to the subject matter, but as a person who’s trying to deal with their trauma I just love seeing the underdog get their hard earned happy ending! Also, reading your work and seeing you self-publish has inspired me so many times to continue with my own writing journey - even when the ADHD avoidance and negative self esteem talk are kicking me down hard!
