How do you guys feel about the 'big ban list' (where I ban every character I've ever drawn) for character suggestions? Should I make it a thing?

I think the mass ban gives way to new character availability and new possibilities.

If the first option wins, please do a special exemption every couple of months for characters you drew in your comics.

I think it should be only for characters that were main characters of a comic. I could be wrong but iirc Mina was on the ban list despite only being in a couple panels of Denki and Mirko's comic.

I like it for the character suggestions. It gives every character a chance to be drawn. Even if it’s only once.

Yeah mass ban works cause, let's be honest, some characters are just wrecking balls for polls with how popular they are

I'm in favor of perma (or at least prohibitively long) bans.

Like some characters keep getting close but they lose to some poll-washer character or flavor of the month.

The ban works great for variety. No ban would mean the same characters over and over, you’d burn out quickly doing that.

I feel like if it gets reset/characters get removed once they’ve been banned/not drawn for a year that would be ok

I’d also love polls for non-popular franchises. A lot of us have passion characters that never get any attention or love and it would be a good chance for everyone in the community to be seen

Keep it forever, or at least keep the list for a year and reset it, variety is the spice of life and I would be extremely disappointed if the ban list went away and we got Rosalina, Pokemon Girls, and whoever else already on the list on repeat for eternity, it at least guarantees people will have their favorite character win eventually rather than have votes for a character who already got a lewd drawing

How would that even work? What constitutes as "unpopular" and how would that even prevent the same issues from occuring?

Basically avoiding major franchises that are usually the big leaders in polls like this. Your shounens (DanDaDan, Bleach, One Piece) your staple Nintendos (Mario/Zelda) things like that and whatever the flavor of the month is. A few months back it was Dungeon Meshi. Now it’s DanDaDan. Just encourage people to think outside the box a little more. The theme could just be “Obscure series/character” poll

Yeah that’s definitely fair. I feel like the biggest issue is the flavor of the month series. The big popular series that everyone lewds and draws art of. Like how Dungeon Meshi was the big one six months ago. The polls have been pretty varied though. Maybe you can do two polls? One for the highest voted and one for the lowest voted? Then draw one from each as opposed to the top two in the highest? It gives the people with obscure tastes a better chance imho

i like not repeating too often but at the same time its a shame if certain characters dont get a chance for more then one chance to shine in your style
