Well, this is one of those paintings that I know I'm never going to be satisfied with.  It should have been a quick study but because I had a vision in my head that just wasn't coming out how I wanted, I struggled with this one for much longer then I should have.  Oh well!  Better done then perfect, as they say.   I do want to revisit the idea of an elf showering under a waterfall but plan it out at a time when I don't feel so rushed.

Either way I hope you like her.  I do actually like how her face came out and the shading happening there.

In other news, things are still crazy for me.  I am doing my best to still work on personal and patreon artwork outside of my day job, but it has been really hard.  Its tough not to feel like I am letting you guys down when I am not able to be as active online.  I always want to provide a lot of great content but finding the balance is tricky.  Anyway, I apologize if it feels like I have been quiet lately.

Maybe I can share some of my work stuff here if you are interested, although it is not typically in line with my usual style, but let me know if you are interested.

Someday soon I hope things will go back to normal and maybe even further down the road I'll be able to get back to full-time independent/patreon art, but for now it is a matter of figuring out a balance.

  • I am in progress of finishing the monthly article, so I am hoping to post that this week or this weekend for you.  (it is about starting as a twitch artist and holy crap!! there is so much info to cover there!)
  • Stickers are ordered and I am SO EXCITED!  Midnight spell won by a huge landslide!  Apparently you guys like witches and cats.  lol
  • I'll be posting the print voting soon.  I have an idea of which artwork will win, buuuut always safe to have you guys vote in case I'm wrong!  haha

You’re doing an amazing job! Don’t worry love all your work too! I get the same way once I have a vision for my art and if it doesn’t look like in my head it’s never “done”

Thank you Christal! Your understanding means a lot! Yeah, it is tough when you have a perfect vision of what you want because it’s so hard to actually match that vision! 😭 💖

Water is so hard. This is a beautiful study though!!

Yeah, water is tricky and honestly the water here was really rushed. I need to try tackling it again when things calm down. Haha. And thank you💕

You're plenty active for me. You manage to produce at least two prints and a sticker each month? That's crazy! I've been struggling with my art/work/life balance, and I'm still working on consistently finishing one art piece each month. 💙 So, you're doing great. And, if you want to post some of the other stuff you do, sure! I'll never say no to more art. And this piece looks absolutely amazing. I'd actually like to see it in the running for the print option for this month.

Goodness! Thanks for the understanding words Caitlin! Finding that balance is so so tricky and I feel like its a constant learning process and it seems to be always changing! Like the huge amount of work that you can handle one week doesn't mean that you can handle that amount of work every week. So its always a crazy challenge of figuring out how much is just the right amount! lol But anyhoo, now I'm rambling. I will look through some of my work stuff and see what might be fun to show.

This is a beautiful picture!
