Hey all, I was debating on whether or not to share this drawing. Sometimes when I am feeling overwhelming emotion, drawing it really helps with processing and expressing, so sometime within the couple weeks of Mochi's unexpected passing, I drew this.

I debated whether or not I would ever share it because I hate to be a downer and I already have made a post about his passing and don't want it to seem like I'm trying to garner more sympathy. (you all have been so wonderful and kind by the way. I really have appreciated all of the kind messages). These reservations are probably just me overthinking, since I know that's not what I'm trying to do. This why I finally decided to share this with you all.

Mochi loved being held like this and I definitely miss walking around holding him like a little baby on my shoulder. I miss him so much but I'm okay. I'm adjusting to the new normal in my home and I'm grateful that even though losing him has been hard it has been a wakeup call to evaluate my priorities and what I really want out of life. Thank you Mochi for all your love and lessons.

Sorry for your lose. I hope you feel better soon. Please share it. It will make others who lost their loved feel better one way or another.

Don‘t overthink! Do whatever helps you to overcome the rush of emotions. Those ups and downs will come and Go with memories hitting your mind. And it is good, because it shows the special bond you had and how precious he was!

So much emotion, and I've been there far too many times. I had ratties, 2-5 yrs is their life expectancy. No worries at all, this IS your space, share with us as you will. Folks will understand, and if not, their problem not yours. Peace and comfort, my friend.

I'm glad you decided to share it, it's a beautiful piece! Art is a way to make people feel what you feel, and I definitely feel your emotion looking at this <3

This is beautiful. Losing a pet is terrible and tears a real hole into your little family you built. I think it's lovely you could express your feelings this way and that you shared it, cause lots of us can surely relate. Please don't worry about being a "downer", that's such a mean way other people might talk about your legit feelings!! You're an artist, so you are allowed to share the emotions in your art, not just what some other person might consider appropriate to their mood! <3

Thanks for the encouragement Daniel! It's tough to not overthink but something I'm trying to improve at!!

Aww! Yeah, that is quite frequently that you have to go through the loss with such a short life expectancy! And thank you! Love and peace to you as well!

Definitely is overthinking 🙏🏻 Grieving takes time and it's still quite fresh/recent. I'm glad you can put your feelings into pieces like this one, I'm sure it'll help the proces. 🤗 Take your time and care of yourself. ☺️

Thank you for sharing... it is beautiful. You have a wonderful way of expressing feelings in your art. I have often wished I was a bit more artistic. My cat Ashley passed 8 years ago, 3 weeks before her 20th birthday. She loved to be held like that. There will always be things to remind you, but it is not a bad thing. ❤️

Awh Chrissa this is beautiful❤️🥺 losing a bad is horrible, it leaves a hole in your heart that hurts😔 the only thing you can do is to fill up the hole with the memories you have and remember the good times❤️ I am so sorry for your loss🥺 take the time you need for grieving xx Femke

This is somber and breathtaking. Mochi will be well-remembered by your family as well as your community. We miss him and I'm so glad you chose to share this with us. <3 *hugs*
