February Update (Patreon)

Poll Winner
The Dragon Towers district won the most recent map poll. I'm really excited to work on that one, because it features all of the different Dragonmarked Houses and is going to have a lot of variety.
However...
It's gonna be huge. Making 12 different locations, all distinct from each other, as well as making variants for them is a lot of work. In top of that, I don't want to limit my audience exclusively to Eberron players (I love Eberron and its community, but there is a ceiling for how much Ferret Foundry can grow if I make my focus too narrow). As such, I decided that I'm going to make a non-Sharn version of these maps, set in a general metropolis (like Waterdeep or Wroat, for instance), with their own set of variants.
Needless to say, I won't be able to do all of that in the two weeks left in February. So what am I going to do? I've decided that I'm going to release the Dragon Towers maps throughout April, rather than March. That gives me 6 weeks or so to complete them all.
As a side note, I want to extend some big apologies to those people who showed up to the livestream last week. I was just planning out the Dragon Towers district when I realized how huge it was going to be and I wasn't sure if I was even going to be able to do it at all. So I had no idea what I would be streaming. But now that I have a release plan, streams should go on just fine.
So what is happening in March?
Well, the very first thing you should know is that billing will be paused for the month of March*. You will still receive everything you signed up for at your pledge tier, but you won't be charged at the beginning of the month. No need to unsubscribe, because even if you don't get what you want/need in March, you won't be charged for it.
Billing will restart April 1st.
In March, I'll be finishing and releasing the adventures that I'm behind on (see below), as well as starting work on another project while I make the Dragon Towers maps. I will start making updated maps for the Convergence Manifesto campaign. the Convergence Manifesto is a platinum-selling campaign set in Eberron that takes players all across Khorvaire and runs from level one to seven. The individual adventures are, as of this posting, on a "choose your own discount" sale (follow the link above). The campaign is fun and made by some really creative people, but the maps were clearly made for a wet-erase battlemap world, and not the VTT world we currently exist in.
I'm going to release each adventure's map pack on DM's Guild as soon as it's finished and all of my Patrons will receive them for free. The release timeline for this project is fluid and while a bunch of them will come out in March, releases will likely extend into April and May.
Adventures
Without naming names, the dirty secret with a lot of rpg content creators on this platform is that many of them that release content as frequently as I do have a small staff of people backing them up. And good on them; they're giving talented folks a regular gig and providing the content that their Patrons want. But I don't have a staff. This is 100% a single-person operation and that means that, occasionally, I may fall behind schedule. That's been the case for the adventures I write. My plan was to release an adventure which utilizes a map at the end of every month. That hasn't quite happened. So I'm also going to use the the paused-billing period to catch up on my backlog of adventures. Here's a quick status update on the adventures:
"The Plot in Northmarket" is in its final edit. It's looking great and should be out in a couple of days.
The Cogs adventure (still untitled, I'm not great with titles), is still mid-production. It's honestly my favorite of the ones I've worked on so far and feel like it could be something special, so I want to give it the love that it deserves.
The Mournland adventure has been outlined but, other than that, hasn't really been started, TBH. Never-the-less, it will be released sometime in March.
As a thank you for your patience with the release schedule of the adventures , here's a track from "The Plot in Northmarket." It's designed for when the PC's are at the market and it's called "Window Shopping."
Playtesters
Lastly, we still need a couple more people for the playtester tier. I'm excited to start running these games with some of y'all, but we need some more people to make a full group. I'm going to cut off playtester sign-up on Saturday, the 20th.
I will note that signing up now is a good deal, financially, since you'll get in on this month's game and one from the un-billed month of March.--------
Whew, that's a lot of updates. Thank you for reading it and staying up-to-date with the goings-on here at the foundry. If you have any questions, just leave it in the comments and I'll be sure to answer it as soon as I can. Oh, and don't forget to grap that RPG music below on your way out.
Thank you all and I'll talk to you again soon!
*Edit: Some people have reached out saying that they want to contribute in March, even with billing paused. That's really kind and very welcome. Since I can't selectively charge people, that can't exactly be done through Patreon. So, instead, if you feel similarly inclined, you can send a one-time donation to one of the following (this is not required, it's just if you want to):
