Hello everyone!

I want to quickly tell you about an amazing adventure that's available on DMsGuild right now: DRAGONBOWL! The premise of the adventure is the players are a team of gladiators/competitors participating in a sports festival/bloodbath called, well, Dragonbowl.

While the adventure lends itself to some pretty spectacular combat, between the tournament rounds there's plenty of roleplaying and exploring to do. For instance, the tournament holds a dark secret that the players need to uncover before it's too late! Your investigator players are going to love it. There's also hobnobbing with VIPs to gain their sponsorship, sabotaging opposing teams in the tournament, exploring nearby tombs and ruins for magic items that will give them the edge... and a whole lot more. The book itself clocks in at over 300(!) pages, with dozens of locations, hundreds of NPCs, and a ton of creative side-quests and sub-plots.

My favorite genre of video game is the Immersive Sim genre, games where you're given a dedicated sandbox area to play around in, with its own self-contained ecosystem, and everything you do changes how that ecosystem functions. Think games like Fallout: New Vegas, Dishonored, HITMAN, or Deus Ex. Never before have I played a published D&D game that gave that same feeling of... well, immersion. In fact, Dragonbowl is the best published adventure that I've ever played for 5e (including those published by WotC directly). I really can't say enough good things about it.

Click here to get Dragonbowl for 25% off its regular price. Don't wait, since this sale price only lasts through the end of July!

Now, On to the Maps

The original printing of Dragonbowl contained really wonderful maps by another favorite creator of mine, Xploring Maps. The maps they made are crisp, clear, and creative with their layout, resulting in a map perfect for recreating on a vinyl mat or with your favorite dungeon tiles.

I, however, play 90% of my games online, which requires recreating some of those maps with greater detail. So I've decided to release the maps that I've made (and will make in the future) through here for you all. They work great on their own but it is my sincere hope that they prove useful to you when you try running Dragonbowl yourself!

Patrons get access to the expanded Arena Dungeon map. Coming in at 42x35, this map includes the locker rooms (or hypogeum, of you're fancy), holding cells for rowdy fans, the offices of those that run the arena, the Dragonbowl vaults, and... hey, what're all those necromancer's supplies doing in the infirmary?!?! The mysteries never cease.

Comment below if you've run Dragonbowl before or plan to in the future. I'd love to know how people are liking it! And keep an eye out for the next map in this series, none other than the Bloodwizer™ Blimp that circles the festival grounds!

Enjoy!

- Peter
