Im trying to cut corners in reasonable ways. I want to be more efficient but I don't want any of it to be bad

Have you tried using a split art style? You can do the cinematic shots a couple times per page but had a less detailed version for smaller less important paneling. (If you are already doing that then I apologize lol)

The split style also lends itself to sprite work if you do it right
