Getting back in the groove of things. ^^ 

The weather has been really warm lately and the flowers have been in full bloom. I wanted to draw something inspired by the spring season and how warm it makes me feel.

Originally, I wanted to draw something in a similar style as my black hound crime boss, but I thought it would be fun to play with different textures with his body. I'm aiming for his skin to resemble the bark of a birch tree. I like how the bark looks like it's covered in eyes and the whiteness of it will compliment the color scheme of the flowers and leaves.

Style wise; I'm thinking of soft lines combined with blocks of color. I want it to feel light,illustrative and whimsical.
