This horror cult classic was directed by Michael Anderson and produced by Dino De Laurentiis. This intense film stars Richard Harris as Captain Nolan, a man whose fateful encounter with a vengeful killer whale leads to a terrifying battle for survival. Join us as we explore the themes of revenge, guilt, and the consequences of disrupting nature, all set against the backdrop of the rugged Newfoundland coast. We'll discuss how Orca: The Killer Whale stands out in the genre and why it remains a memorable entry in the annals of 70s horror cinema. A ruthless profiteering fisherman accidentally kills the pregnant mate of a canny killer whale.
