CHILDREN OF THE CORN (2009) Movie Review | Boots To Reboots

The Maniacal Cinephile enters the cornfields with our latest movie review, where we analyze the 2009 remake of CHILDREN OF THE CORN. This version, directed by Donald P. Borchers, takes a darker and more faithful approach to Stephen King's short story, but how does it stack up against the original 1984 cult classic? Join us as we compare the eerie atmospheres, unforgettable characters like Isaac and Malachai, and the differences in storytelling that set these two adaptations apart. Is the 2009 version a more horrifying rendition, or does it lack the unsettling charm of the original? Will it get The Boot just like The Blue Man? Set in the fictional town of Gatlin, Nebraska, a traveling and bickering couple (Burt and Vicky) fight to survive a cult of murderous children who worship an ancient entity known as "He Who Walks Behind the Rows", which had years earlier manipulated the children into killing every adult in town.
