WOLF MAN (2025) Movie Review | Boots To Reboots

In this episode of Boots to Reboots, Andy the Maniacal Cinephile digs his claws into and reviews WOLF MAN (2025), the latest Universal Monsters remake from Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell. With modern horror flair and old-school lycanthropy, does this new Wolf Man movie have bite—or does it need to be put down? Andy compares the 2025 reimagining to the original 1941 Wolf Man starring Lon Chaney Jr., and asks the ultimate question: Will the Wolf Man get the Boot? Plot: Blake Lovell and his family are attacked by a werewolf and barricade themselves inside a rural farmhouse. But as the night wears on, Blake begins to change—his body, his mind, and his humanity slipping away—as something ancient and deadly takes over. Can his family survive the night… or him? Expect horror history, hilarious commentary, and monstrous amounts of sarcasm from Andy, Good Andy, Evil Andy, and a surprise full-moon meltdown! I'll give credit where it's due. I liked how we the viewers got to experience that drawn out transformation with him. The vision, the hearing like with the spider, etc. That's the best thing about this remake to me, but once we got to the actual wolf man himself, It's almost as if they started the makeup process, then never finished it. I appreciate the experimentation, but overall, could've been way better.
