With neither spells nor sword aura, Francis Foster is classified for Appraisal Support and handed one of the safest futures an awakened person can have. Unfortunately, safety does nothing for the bills waiting at home, and his new S-tier reserve may have made him one more thing his mother needs protection from.

Then his Appraisal reveals a function the Registry never found: Merge. What starts as a desperate hustle to pay bills soon turns into searching other worlds for better materials, stranger combinations, and maybe something that could let his mother come home. Along the way, he creates things no one on Earth knows how to make, including Xikulan: a living suit of armor with the memories of a sovereign, the standards of a tyrant fashion designer, and very strong opinions about Francis’s wardrobe.
