Welcome back to more of The Wire. Season 2 is already introducing new ponds and showing us how far the web of corruption and crime sprouts throughout the city and further. With that, all new characters, relations, themes, and many more to help dive deeper into the immersive world of this story. I'm pretty excited, hope you are too!

Regarding the laced drug's, I don't know if that actual plan was Avon's, but he did direct Stringer to punish the Prison Guard (Tighlman?) somehow. Avon obviously knew about it which is why he asked D to cut back for a couple days. Of course, he had to trust that D was actually going to do what he asked, which is pretty ballsy.

That was funny when he yelled, "English, motherfucker!!!" I yelled, "DO YOU SPEAK IT!!!" the same time you did. 🤣

Was so excited these episodes dropped today! P.S. The dog killing the rats is a rat terrier (or at least a mix). They were bred to hunt rats and other vermin

Linda

Also, damn! The music is so effing good in this series. 🔥

Legato

This show makes one laugh more than some comedies. Such quality writing.

William Davis

I love your comment about how this show has other shows going on inside of it, very apt observation.

Jonathan

Awesome shots of the bridge in episode four that is the bridge that was hit by a ship and collapsed. Ironically, the dredging that Frank is lobbying for in the season actually did occur to get more ships in and out with the bridge debris.

Brandon

These episodes were made back when a digital camera was still a pretty new concept. AND it's old enough for the characters to not yet know why the Greeks would want acetone and massive amounts of other chemicals. In 2024 you don't even need to have seen Breaking Bad to know. Despite that, the show manages to stay current as hell, never feels dated. Chris Bauer (Frank Sobotka) is such an underrated actor. He's always gotten work but not a lot of leading roles so he's easy to overlook. He had a great role in 'For All Mankind' which is one of those shows that I cannot believe every reactor on the internet doesn't watch.... if you catch my meaning, James. 😉

Mirko Ferreira

This will be your favorite show when you are done. Calling it now. Enjoying the ride so far. Season 2 is one of the greatest seasons of TV ever.

Jesse Trovato

Fun fact about the music. All the music comes from a source in the world whether it be a radio, car stereo, jukebox, etc…Except for a montage in season one (which ends with Prez turning off radio). Show runners did not want to break the immersion of the world.

Kana Kawase

Wendell Pierce, the actor who plays Bunk, is great at mean-mugging. On the subject of Wendell Pierce, if you've never seen Spike Lee's movie, Get On The Bus, you should check it out. He has a classic scene in that.
