The Sopranos season one has been a blast! I'm already hyped for the next season and again, genuinely impressed by the human nature and character study that is happening within this series.

Night King01

The vimeo footage is delayed a bit james. I knew i was confused when mine didnt match up

The broad daylight execution next to the traffic filled bridge is a hilariously stylish classic. The assassinations in this episode are the some of the closest scenes you can get to a live action gta mission.

Night King01

I have a factoid that doesnt necessarily play into the shows narrative but in terms of realism, Michael Franzese who was a former captain in Colombo crime family commented on the show. He said while it’s brilliant, in reality Tony would end up in the back of trunk along with Dr. Melfi if anyone found out he was talking to her. Thats cold, the mafia does not play.

Kana Kawase

David Chase wrote the first season of The Sopranos about his own mother. Yes, Livia is based on the series' creator's actual mother. He said something to effect that making The Sopranos was basically therapy for him. I'm not going to say I feel sorry for him, because he's had a really successful life, but... damn. That's f***ed up. Look forward to you watching the rest of the series. IMO, the show is even better from here on out. They were still kind of finding their footing here. You have yet to meet some of the best characters. Some of the scariest characters, and some of the dumbest ones.

Martin Hagen

In this episode we first see Carmine in the first meeting! Carmine is played by the actor Tony Lip, which if you've seen the movie "Green Book" is the guy who is played by Viggo Mortensen! Amazing guy with an incredible story

Just an FYI, his mother in no way resembles someone with Borderline Personality Disorder, and even the therapist's description of BDP is completely off base. A quick wikipedia search and comparing what she says will show that right away. I'm afraid as powerful as these therapy sessions are, and they were a huge jump forward for TV at the time, they're not nearly as accurate as something like the Wire's accuracy with its subject matter. And people do have gripes about the Wire too.
