Ayo ayooo, no schedule to these but wanted to catch up on more of this on the Patreon because why not? This belongs to the Pilot shows that I'm watching and after a few of you guys mentioned this, I decided to watch the first two episodes and see what all the fuss was about. Enjoy the random uploads, feel like it keeps things interesting!

Welcome back & enjoy more chaos !

Sparky's Joint

What I like about the Jroc and T dynamic is JRoc is the leader of the Rock pile, but J doesn't make decisions without T's approval and wisdom. They are best friends and cut everything 50-50.

Let's go. This is what I signed up for.

I've lived 30+ years in this area, and have direct connections to the show. This show really does do a good job at projecting a sometimes exaggerated, sometimes not even, depiction inspired by a lot of real things/people in this rather unique little culture here. It is very particular to the area. The shopping cart bit is hilarious. In the '90s, you'd frequently see carts all over the place, at least in my area. In the woods around shops, in rivers, etc. The core laid back chill vibe is definitely common here. Just rolling with whatever, "no big deal" as Ricky would say, when something is in fact a huge deal, lol. The overall good will and community... But then allllll the ghettoness and also really really stupid, dangerous, escalating beefs for no good reason, haha. The bubble world, of these people living in their own enclosed universe. The hip-hop and black culture (the MLK shirt, the NWA references/constant car bass beats, J-Roc and the Roc Pile) stuff - in the mid 1850s Africville was formed in Halifax; it was a major underground railroad destination for many fleeing slaves from the USA. These days, you will find lots of places where hip hop culture is huge here (the predominant genre for sure), and you also have communities with a majority population of black folks, too. It's a legitimately heart warming show.

If you wanna check out another Canadian Showcase produced show that can be pretty wild, check out Kenny Vs. Spenny. Kenny Hotz has uploaded most episodes to youtube. It's a guilty pleasure
