Time for some brie and butter baguettes. Though, they're a bit plain for my tastes... I know! Brie, butter and gabagool baguettes.

There's a video on youtube where Richard Beymer, the actor who plays Ben Horne, describes the direction David Lynch gave him during the baguette scene. It's pretty funny, and pretty illustrative of Lynch's directing style. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooNAffYSlpo

Community and Twin Peaks on the same day? It's too good, man. Thank you!

So glad you're enjoying the show James! I was in 9th grade when the show debuted (on network TV, no less), we had never seen anything like it - I bought the soundtrack on cassette tape and played it for years, I still love it.

Love that dream sequence. The way they did the dialogue in that scene was they had the actors say the lines in reverse, then reversed that footage so that they were speaking normally, but with that strange, uncanny sound.

Also, the way you got excited about that huckleberry pie, I bet you and Agent Cooper would be friends :)

Dale Cooper

Albert might be my 2nd favorite character outside of Dale Cooper. I'm not sure you caught it but he clocked Ed having a thing with Norma which is why the meal was on him.

James that Twin Peaks theme will be with you forever! You have no idea how happy I am to go through the adventure with you.

Bert Taverner

Very excited to see you go through the Twin Peaks world. The original show is fantastic, the Fire Walk With Me film is even better and the Return series is the best thing that David Lynch ever did

Not sure if you already know, but the watch order is: S1, S2, FWWM (movie), The Missing Pieces (movie), S3 ("The Return"). There are also canon(?) books written by Frost (the co-creator of TP), Lynch, and their relations, that can be read between certain seasons, and are arguably needed to better understand, but you can't really react to them, and they are technically optional. - "The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer", after S1. (Written by Lynch's daughter, audiobook by Laura's actor) - "The Twin Peaks Tapes of Agent Cooper" , after S1. (Written by Frost's son, audio only, Kyle Machlachlan narrating) - "The Autobiography of F.B.I. Special Agent Dale Cooper: My Life", My Tapes, after S1. (Frost's son again) - "The Secret History of Twin Peaks", before S3. (Frost himself) - "Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier", after S3. (Frost again) Mind you, regardless of release dates, I wouldn't read any of the books until after the movies, at least. There are fan-edits to combine the movies (at least 2 scenes should have stayed in), but the popular ones (Q2, Blue Rose) make some unforgivable mistakes, like breaking up the ending, so I do not recommend them for your first watch, unless someone makes a new one that fixes the problems.

It's a classic French sandwich! .. I see them all over the Korean bakery / coffee chain like Paris baguette! Tho Jambon-beurre - Ham & butter what most often see tho!

I soooo can't wait for Firewalk With Me!

I took my profile photo at the RR (Twede's) last time I was there. That's Mt Si in the background. Had cherry pie and black coffee. Our story - From the Mar T, to the Double R — Twede's Cafe https://www.twedescafe.com/twedes-cafe-history

I've watched Twin Peaks all the way through an ungodly amount of times, but Episode 3 always stuck out to me as among the very best. If I'm bored and want to just watch one episode, it's the one I come back to most frequently. One of the best TV episodes ever made
