Andor EP 7 Uncut

7 is kind of a standalone that leads to the second half of the season. 8-10 is an arc, 11-12 is the culmination of everything. Season 2 is very deliberately four 3-episode chunks. No confusion on that one at all lol

This is one of my favorite episodes of the series. It's lighter on the action and excitement, but the intrigue and character work is incredible.

This is a great breather episode in terms of action, but they dont waste your time because it shows the cause and effect. Andor being a part of the heist, then thinking he can just walk away, but then the Empire response is to go full totalitarian/fascist. Andor ends up getting arrested for nothing, but it was because of his participation in the heist being successful gave the Empire the justification it wanted to just start arresting people at will, en mass. That was a great theme of this episode and all the character interactions revolve around it, from Marva with Cassian, to Luthen talking with Mon Mothma. Cassian is pushed by fate into direct opposition with yhe Empire, even when he tried to run away from it and ignore it. Cannot wait for the next 3 episode arc reaction, dont want to hype it but its absolute 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥

Andor getting arrested for walking to the store is such a smart choice for the series to make.

Amazing episode!! To touch on the writing once again, Tony Gilroy and Stephen Schiff wrote this episode and pulled inspirations from real life legislations. The Public Order Resentencing Directive is inspired from real life events: The Declaratory Act of 1766, the Carlsbad Degrees of 1819, the September Laws of 1835 and the Punitive Campaigns of 1906. These were all pieces of legistlation with one goal in common: Killing revolutions while they were still in the crib.

James if you ask me, drop every episode right now

Love how the intro soundtrack develops more and more until the finale

Andor getting arrested and sentenced to six years is a great example of Hannah Arendts the banality of evil. Evil isn't committed by fanatical monsters, but by ordinary, thoughtless bureaucrats simply doing their jobs and obeying orders. And considering whats going on politically today, it makes it even more scary.

So happy you're enjoying the show so far!

Loving these reactions. So much respect for what Tony Gilroy accomplished with Andor. He got practically the highest budget you can for a TV show and turned it into a masterpiece of political philosophy.

Are you planning on doing Season 2 as well? Season 1 is incredible, but Season 2 somehow finds a way to be even better

Sparky's Joint

Dude, I was playing Shadow of War while watching and in the first episode alone, when the radio said "garrison", I was literally selecting garrison in the menu. Then about ten minutes later you say "gear" right when I randomly went back into the menu and selected gear at the exact same time.

Christopher Farley

had to hop over from the youtube just to get through Andor ASAP. Not sure how far you've watched but Kleya is not even low key one of my favorite characters in Star Wars now and you were literally in my head canon when you said she looks like a Jedi because I said the same thing and I'm sticking to it or her being secretly force sensitive.

Underwater Sunlight (Eddy)

When it comes to the storytelling in this episode, I appreciate the irony that it is also because of Andor‘s involvement in the heist, that his „mother“ want to stay to be part of the rebellion.
