ooh baby, its been like waiting for Christmas morning for these 3 episode reactions to drop!

Morgen Roberts

Important: episode 12 has a post-credit scene

Josh Arnoldy

That episode 10 reaction was so hilarious and wholesome 😂 Wish I could watch it again for the first time. 1:10 is one of the best of the whole series but there are a couple in S2 that rival it. Can’t wait for you to get there.

Chancellor Duvall

I don't think the torture being used is about a sentimental connection or contextual knowledge of what is recorded. I think it is implied that this species had a literal evolutionary psychic defense mechanism. Imagine like skunks but instead of attacking your nose, their distress literally attacks your psyche or a porcupine that stabs your brain.

Ep 10 is so peak glad you loved it, Luthen's monologue is unreal

Guibsom

Said the same thing about ep 10, greatest thing that came out of disney star wars aside from other andor episodes without a doubt!

ScarlettMi

Episode 10 is such an amazing piece of filmmaking. You think nothing can top the prison break and the “one way out” speech, and then comes the “what do I sacrifice” speech!!

Diarmid

I can’t lie I was already considering episode 10 to be Ozymandias tier before the Luthen monologue came on. I don’t think any piece of art has shot this much seratonin into my brain at once it’s just 30 straight minutes of goosebumps.

I think its an important factor to note, as you did, that the finale of this prison arc felt epic and somehow topped or hit similar highs as the Aldhani heist arc. The obvious thing to remember is the visual wizardry of flying into the meteor storm eye. Its different for the prison arc. I think there is something about the stark white backdrop of the prison combined with the brutal nature of what the prisoners are subjected to that has a really interesting dynamic to be inundated with for 3 episodes. Its interesting because the prison environment very much reminds me of George Lucas' first movie, THX 1138, a movie that often doesn't get brought up. Its been a while since I've seen it, but essentially its an apocalyptic future dystopian movie, where people live in white rooms, much like the prison. I think there is something psychologically unsettling about a completely white room that is more conducive to breaking people down psychologically. The show really uses a multitude of ways to make this story gripping and affecting to the viewer.

I remember watching season 1 and being so impressed with the first arc (S1, E1-3). Then I watched the Aldahni arc (4-6) and was floored at how good it was. But then came the Narkina 5 arc (8-10)! I have watched Luthen’s monologue so many times I have it memorized. I really thought it couldn’t get better than this… then I watched Season 2!!! I can’t wait to watch you discover what an incredible job Tony Gilroy did on this show. Absolute masterpiece. I would like to recommend you watch Honest Trailer’s Andor Season 1 after this. You will enjoy it. Make it like a bonus. Thank you so much.

Episode 10 is a banger. Either one of Kino's or Luthen's monologues would have been an all-timer on their own. Getting them back to back in a single episode is incredible.

William Davis

Your hype during episode 10 embodies the way we all felt during that episode. Season 2 gets even crazier if you can believe it!

Jullian Chavez

Been excited for you to reach episode 10 since you started watching. I enjoyed the series prior to this episode, but this episode cemented it as one of my favorite shows of all time, let alone Star Wars content. They do such a good job of conveying danger and risk, and do so well at asking the question "what is the cost of rebellion". Glad to see you enjoying it!

Nicholas Mormino

If you haven't been told yet, the opening title theme has a different style for each episode. There is a YouTube video that combines all of them into one. I combined them myself in Audacity. Really fun to mix them around

E

Had an absolute fckn blast watching this arc with you man. Episode 10 is top 3 best television episodes ever made, not even in Star Wars but of all time.

Martin Hagen

Episode 10 rewired my brain after I watched it im pretty sure lol. The prison sequence is truly 11/10, but also want to highlight Luthen in these episodes, both his monologue and his conversation with Saw. It's perhaps the most realistic thing about revolutions that it’s actually kind of a disaster of egos and infighting. Everyone hates the Empire, but they seem to hate each other’s methods even more. It's very interesting to me atleast, as again it's pulled from real life history where time and time again revolutions such as the French or the Russian ones spend more time eating themselves alive through infighting than actually fighting the regime. It really highlights that total 'burn it all down' mindset. It’s like the Bolshevik vanguard. These guys aren't looking to be heroes but they’re becoming monsters to kill a monster. They’re trading their own souls to force a sunrise they’ll never live to see. It’s grim, but historically, that’s usually how the gears of change actually turn

Ben Leitzel

Episode 10 is why I recommended the show! I first saw Luthen's monologue on social media before I watched any of the show, and it instantly convinced me I'd love the show

RMax

i though we werent going to get an andor upload this week but love that we have, just made my friday evening. andor + james + pizza

RobChach

Got teary eyed re-watching these three episodes with you today, love the series because of how well it has been crafted as a narrative, as a film and as reflection of the human experience! The acting is great, the dialogues are so well written and delivered and they convey so much. Thanks!

Kelvar Jadewalker

It was hard to tell that you liked episode 10, jk of course :) . It's hard to imagine them topping this, all I will say is they are going to try, hard imo.

Ozzy

Knowing episode 10 is in your reaction i had to subscribe and catch the whole arc leading up to this. Hands down some of the most peak writing, idk how many times I've seen Luthen's monologue ...glad to be apart of your patreon. I wondered how season 2 could top this but it holds its own in writing, to this monologue.

Diabetic Raider

Andor is just so beautifully written. Nothing seems forced upon the viewer. The fluidity. No plot holes. The writers and director RESPECTED the audience. Nothing is dumbed down. Nuance EVERYWHERE. Tony Gilroy made this series in such a way that by the last episode of Season 2, you the viewer, would have gone from rooting for some Imperials, then making you hate them, just to go back to feeling sorry for those very same individual Imperials. Also, season 2 is a cinematographer's wet dream. (MY GOD, THE MUSICAL SCORE OF SEASON 2) The 3-episode mini arcs are PURE cinema. Man...you are going to LOVE season 2 and by the very end of it all, it WILL change how you view every Star Wars project that has ever been made or will be made moving forward. 💪🏾

DexterHawkins

I struggle to say this without feeling like i'm being hyperbolic, because One Way Out as legit one of my favorite episodes of tv ever, so I didn't imagine anything could top it. Season 2 manages to somehow. I just don't understand how this show is so good.

Bix’s torture since its not just headphones its like a device that is over your head likes its affecting the brain. I like to think of it as not just hearing but actually feeling the species dying which is why it is causing the damage to the brain and why Pak was basically dead and Bix was so damaged. Imagine your brain feeling death multiple times but not actually dying it would drive you insane
