Oh man, this is going to be a trip…

Oh hell yes! You are going to love this! I would recommend watching through the credits as there’s some cool tributes and get to see who plays who and stuff like that, names are very important in this! Frost and Lynch wrote this in secret in 2012 and it was announced in 2014 with some hiccups along the way (Lynch almost left the project due to differences with showtime) and it premiered in 2017. Lynch directs every episode or part I kinda look at it as a 18 part film versus a season of television but that’s just me. Enjoy the ride my friend it’s a wild one!

"James is still cool. He's always been cool." Watching all these reactions, I have to agree.

Like others have said, it's kinda more like an 18 hour movie than an 18 episode series. Lynch refused to say which description was more apt to him (as he generally refused to say anything about interpretation), but it was his idea to call the episodes "Hour 1", "Hour 2", etc. But more importantly from a filmmaking standpoint, it was genuinely shot as a single 18-hour-long film. Lynch directed every episode, and cowrote every episode with Mark Frost. And there weren't 18 different scripts, there was one gigantic script for 18 hours of material. From what I heard, they didn't even specify the episode breaks within the script. Lynch just decided where the episodes closed in the editing room. And in the filming process, scenes from like Hour 15 were shot on the same day as scenes from Hour 3. It was all shot as one giant thing, and none of the actors (except Kyle) was allowed to see more pages of the script than ther own scenes. Speaking of Mark Frost, our man will eventually show up on screen in a brief cameo. I don't remember which episode, but he's walking in the woods if you want to watch for it. Final thought: oh my God I can't wait for Dougie!

“Goodbye horse, hello infinite darkness.” That cracked me up James 😂

Linda

OMG is right, James. You looked like you were on TILT watching this. 😆

Peak David Lynch as far as I'm concerned. Not my favorite work of his, but still his magnum opus imo

By the way the brunette with Ben you said who is that- was Ashley Judd ( of famous singing Judds family Naomi her mom & Wynonna -her half sister), she been in tons movies since 90s. She was in the movie * Double Jeopardy *A time to Kill (Should see) with Matthew Mcconaughey Samuel L Jackson & Sandra Bullock & HEAVY stuff happening, powerful movie! * Heat - more blonde that movie ( sorta estranged wife of Val Kilmers character) Here my fave two flicks she did. * Where the heart is- With delightful- Natalie Portman * Bug - Intense psychological thriller- psychosis schizophrenia, & loneliness never goes well! MUST see! Her & Michael Shannon. Also interesting written by actor Tracy Letts was a play he wrote first, came out like 1996 think ran till 2004ish movie was 2006.. **Remember had just gotten prescribed Ativan for panic/ anxiety was 22ish maybe, taken it ona work grave shift. I remember was watching Bug movie had a panic attack entire movie. Was like trippy slippin away feeling & different sorta anxiety.. anyoo special unhinged job the acting and worth checking out haha

Lovvve the music in Season 3 so many great tunes! Here band from EP2, CHROMATICS "SHADOW" (Official Video) YouTube · Italians Do It Better https://youtu.be/IGUboLZx3Tk?si=2nNurlPL5WP2dB3A **Also peep the lyrics fitting for show. "For the last time etc (us the viewer & the show then "And now you're nothing like you seem" Now you're just a strangers dream" shadows etc of what characters (cooper) vibe & show used to be. Twin peaks so beloved but can never truly go home again, things look similar but like never quite the same. Also such great nostalgia invoking- song has that feel! And song and season symbolism of so close to what had but can't recapture etc Also Roadhouse has quite the performances be poppin in there lol

God damn I forgot how good this season is your in for something unbelievable. That last scene in episode 2 is so special to me and I can’t explain why. Two minor characters just enjoying the good times in the bar where so much has happened, the music beaming with nostalgia, “James is still cool, he’s always been cool”. It’s just the perfect comfort after getting thrown into a whole new world the last hour and a half. I really love what David does with the roadhouse (the aforementioned bar) this season. Also David Lynch directs every episode this season and the way it’s structured is kinda like an 18 part 15 hour long movie instead of a traditional season. This is David Lynch’s magnum opus.

"For the last time..." I feel like he knew. It makes me sad, but he was trying to say something by ending the episode that way. You can always go back to Twin Peaks but it will not be the same when you go.
