Despite episode 11 having some really brutal scenes, the cut from Carmela and Ro looking at beautiful French architecture to Sil back at the Bada Bing yelling “Make sure you clean that shit off her tit!” is subtle ingenious comedy.

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again because I need you to understand… the next/last nine episodes are unlike anything you’ve ever seen or I’ve ever seen put to television. It’s beautiful, and it’s terrifying. It changed the way I see tv, life in general tbh. But, these two episodes are a decent set up to these last nine, but in truth, the whole series has been a set up for these last nine episodes. You see: these next nine episodes were filmed a year after the 12 we just watched. There was a whole year in the writers room cooking up how to end this series with a bow that would make the whole thing unforgettable, and also compel you to analyze and rewatch the show to figure out some answers to questions that will be pressing on you. I wish I could communicate the vibe in my words of what these next episodes do, but… I just can’t. I guess you could just say it’s the spiritual consequences of everything we’ve seen so far. I’m very precise to use words like “spiritual” and “metaphysical” because whatever happens is so all encompassing, all reaching back to that center like you’ve talked about before: Tony Soprano.

David Chase pretty much confirmed that Phil coming out of the closet was unsubtle on purpose. Yes Phil probably got into it in prison but he probably has the same mentality as Tony did when he said you get a pass for that.

The Shah of Iran comment was made as far back as a season 5 episode when Tony was phoning Tony B. Idk how word spreads but it’s the mafia so 🤷‍♂️
