Vote on what I should watch and react to next! This Poll will end most likely Wednesday and I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to next week on Wednesday and Friday!

No worries, I plan on actually prolonging these recommendations so don't trip if you don't see your selection on here first! :)

Matt

Be happy with any of these tbh

eoin

Solaris 2002 instead of 1972 should not be allowed

Linda

Forbidden Planet is awesome. It stars Leslie Neilsen waayy before his hilarious turn in Airplane! ❤

AliaAtreides84

I actually recommend the original Solaris movie, directed by Andrei Tarkovsky (1972). He directed the movie Stalker that you watched on the channel. Solaris directed by Soderbergh (2002) is mediocre.

Will

Time Crimes? Annihilation? Primer? Signs? These choices are nothing special imo except planet of the apes for nostalgia and it’s ending

prot180

The Man From Earth is a good watch!

Linda

I liked Solaris 2002.

Tetley

The original Solaris is an impossible act to follow. It's like trying to remake 2001: A Space Odyssey. Still, I thought the 2002 version was a good effort. But I'm voting for A Boy and His Dog.

MrBooShoes

Some good picks on here. Hoping Upgrade (2018) makes it onto one of these sci-fi polls

Allie Lemos

Forbidden Planet is so groundbreaking, would love to see this one get some more votes!

Gary Paterson

Yeah the sounds and effects in Forbiden Planet are wornderful, as is everything else. I would say that some of the effects are better than a lot of the cgi you see in films these days. One of this things that doesnt get a lot of credit is the soundtrack for POTA, it is exceptional in what it achieves in adding a layer that feels part of the film.

Michael

A Boy And His Dog is an exceptionally underseen and intelligent little grime-fest that inspired sooo many other pieces of popular media.

Brett Coster

My two votes are for: 1. Forbidden Planet - a 1950s classic 2. A Boy and His Dog - which should be titled A Dog and His Boy, really but a terrific movie set in a post-Apocalyptic world. The 2002 Solaris is a much simpler and shorter version of Tartovskyy's 1972 classic. It's OK but not nearly as good. Planet of the Apes is a pretty good origin story and looks to be far in the lead. Haven't seen They Cloned Tyrone or Fantastic Planet. Of the remaining two, THX1138 (which includes Lucas's (incorrect) Metropolis reference in the title) is better than The Man From Earth.

The man from earth, planet of the apes or fantastic planet would all be fun

JL Green

The Rod Serling penned Planet Of The Apes please.

Kaitlin

I am so happy seeing They Cloned Tyrone getting this love. Amazing list too.

Paul Steffens

Did you have to include so many worthwhile movies? You don't make our job any easier ;-) Obviously I'm gonna vote for The Man From Earth since I recommended that at some point but there are some nice classics here too.

Kaitlin

Fantastic Planet is a whole journey. I was not ready for it but I can never stop thinking about it.

RICHARD

So many good choices this week. I had to go with Planet of the Apes and Forbidden Planet since they are must see films in sci-fi.

Marc Brune

As mentioned by another commenter, the 1972 Original Solaris by Andrei Tarkovsky is better and probably more interesting for you, since I remember you also liked Stalker (1979) by the same director and wanted to check out more of his stuff.

Ken

I’m on team Solaris 2002. The '72 film didn’t do it for me. This is a great poll. I’d be happy with any of them

Kaitlin

If any of yall haven’t seen it, Eddie Murphy was on Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and talked about his childhood obsession with Planet of the Apes. It’s hysterical.

Emil Aderskog

It's a shame that The Man From Earth ain't winning, nor will it probably ever win, since it's so criminally unknown. It's not flawless by any means, the $200k budget shows in a few places, but I think its flaws are both understandable and forgivable, the premise and the storytelling more than makes up for whatever shortcomings the movie may have, I hope to see a reaction to it one day.

MrBooShoes

I love seeing more Sci-Fi genre movie polls, and I know you are working through some classic TV shows, but I would love to see a Sci-Fi TV show poll in the near future. There is one show at the top of my list, even though I know its obscure and probably won't make it onto the watch list for a very long time. But Noah Hawley's Legion tv show that ran on FX is so different, so creative and so good, and no one seems to know about it. I don't how exactly you get your tv show poll entries, but I will shout from the comments section LEGION TV Series by Noah Hawley!! Let's get it in the convo and on a poll!!

Night King01

Oh ok there is hope that one day Total Recall will be seen

Michael Proch

Since I just rewatched it in cinemas, I'd like to recommend Satoshi Kon's "Paprika". Amazing trippy science fiction that Christopher Nolan took a lot from when he made Inception

Conor

Hey you should add SKs Storm of the Century to the Poll.
