Just thought I would let you guys know. I will be driving back on the 1st. It’ll be the longest drive I’ve ever done so far in my life, I mean 5 hours...but, well, um...yeah. I have my gps, an audiobook and snacks, I should be fine...right?

I think you'll do fine! On your first long drive, the importance is to always pace yourself and not try to do too much.

I was thinking if stop every 2 hours, find a place to maybe get a drink or bite to eat and walk around. My mom told me to use the credit card she gave me for gas. Just nervous, this is my first car.

So long as you know how to drive, I think you'll be fine on the first trip. It's the maintenance and all that comes with car ownership that is troubling. But stopping for food and to stretch is a good start.

You will be fine if you just take it easy on the road. I regularly drive 4-7 hours in country Australia and never had an issue. Just have a bottle of water with you, phone fully charged and take a regular break every 2 hours or even if you start to feel restless. And do not touch your phone while driving 😊 Enjoy your trip!
