I'm trying to pull some more attention in my pursuit to leave my unfulfilling job except I have practically zero graphical design experience. That being said, shameless self advertising like this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I want to know your thoughts, is this morally ok?

Suggestions are also welcome.

I don't see an issue in pulling attention to your creations. I do it.

Advertise the poop out of your amazing work! I'll even RT if you post it on Twitter 😊

If you're on Twitter, throw me a message when you post it and I'll RT right away!

Fumika

I guess that would depend on the site you are posting it on. I see no issues with it on Ekas.

I'll be going into work in just a bit, but I'll make a twitter for myself once I get back if your still interested. Thanks!

Of course! I would recommend it. Twitter is where I'm the most active and get the most pull. I like it way more than DA personally.

You should! Your work is awesome and I’m sure there’s quite a few who enjoy seeing your work when it’s posted but aren’t aware of all the awesome stuff you have going on patreon.

Personally I would mention animations because I think that’s what a lot of people look for I think. A lot of people create images but few create good animations like yours. But advertise the shit out of your art, go for it

When is the release of your next animation?

I have a fairly large one I've been working on and off for the better part of a year and I'm hoping to have done sometime this month.

Tentative yes, depending on where you're advertising. People who come across your stuff, won't come across it by accident. I also feel those who subscribe, will be people who were impressed by you Gardevoir animation.

Absolutely! Self promotion always feels weird, but it’s very necessary. Your work is your business- businesses need advertising. Try to think of it not as “self promoting,” but as advertising a service. I’ve found this helps with the discomfort.

Don’t mistake your cup of tea for everyone else’s! The Gardevoir animation is super well done, but it’s not even in my personal top 5 of his works.

Personally, I think the Gardevoir animation is one of my higher quality animations as a whole, but I don't think it's nearly as polished as some of my other ones.
