Submit your questions here, I will answer them in a public video, which will be posted to the whole channel in December 2017.

Note Unless your are an "Oberst" (30 $) only NON-Content Question, that means stuff you want to know about me or my channel, e.g., future plans, background, etc. Also No Politics & No Religion ;).

Note: The 2 El Alamein Questions will be covered, no need to resubmit.

Please also indicate if you want to stay anonymous, if nothing is noted, I assume it is fine to mention your name in the video.

Is there an easy way to differentiate/define the Tactical, Strategic and Operational levels of war?

+1 for the tac. strat, op distinction. Also, more (any?) navy stuff? Uboats? The only thing that worried Churchill??

Do you think the Japanese could have successfully taken Midway Island? Most people I talk to think it would have been a given but I disagree

Gary Wells

Every which way I look at Midway I come to the same conclusion, being that the Americans won through determination, superior ships/damage control and the most amazing amount of good fortune. Is this assessment accurate?

What destroyed the most tanks during WW2: infantry, planes, anti-tank guns, or other tanks (I'm not sure if tank destroyers needs its own category or not). Edit: I didn't think about trucks or other vehicles. Use your discretion on whether or not to include them.

Are you planning to do regular streams on twitch or even upload some gaming content on youtube?

Oberst reporting for duty! First of all, just pledged, I really enjoy your channel and your work. In some of your videos, you have touched on guerilla warfare, namely the Vietnam video and the Winter War one. I have been reading about Yugoslav Partisans and that entire theater of occupation and resistance. I was wondering if you could do an analysis of how guerilla warfare works. I don’t mean tactical engagements, but strategic things such as recruitment, organization, communication, selection of objectives and in general how does a (successful) resistance movement build up given its inherent underdog position. If you want to use the partisans as a case study or answer purely in terms of theory, I leave that up to you. Thank you!

thank you for your support. I plan on doing a video on guerilla warfare in the (far) future and I consider it one of the larger projects (20-40 hours), since I want to read some basic books and also primary source like Mao, Guevara and Clauswitz works on it. Probably also the rather recent US Field Manual on Counterinsurgency. In other words, I can't give an answer to the question since I would have to do extensive reading on this extensive subject. Feel free to post another question.
