Have you ever visited any European battlefields to get a better sense of what really happened? I live very close to a number of large Civil War battlefields In Tennessee and Georgia. Visiting them at the proper time of year gives one a greater perspective of what happened and why it happened. After reading a few books I definitely state -- if they had ever seen this place they really would not have written that.
