Open Order Revolution - Infantry

Between the Crimean War and the First World War there was a major transformation in infantry tactics, namely the change from closed order formation for the regular infantry to an open order. This video gives a general insight into open order vs. closed order, which is usually not really covered directly. »» SUPPORT MHV «« » paypal donation - https://paypal.me/mhvis » patreon - https://www.patreon.com/mhv » subscribe star - https://www.subscribestar.com/mhv » Book Wishlist https://www.amazon.de/gp/registry/wishlist/3LJIXNJIUXJES/ref=cm_wl_huc_view »» MERCHANDISE - SPOILS OF WAR «« » shop - https://www.redbubble.com/people/mhvis/shop » SOURCES « English, John A.; Gudmundsson, Bruce I.; On Infantry.

Hi - I finally got around to re-subtitling this - I've applied the first 30 seconds to this: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4OMH8aq3gQ." rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4OMH8aq3gQ.</a> The full subtitles are at: <a href="https://pastebin.com/EUZVAqFr" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://pastebin.com/EUZVAqFr</a> (unlisted). The code to convert original, downloadable subtitles to a form that YouTube will accept, is here: <a href="https://pastebin.com/h6j8R8ih" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://pastebin.com/h6j8R8ih</a> (what YT gives you and what it will accept are not the same!). Unfortunately, although the YouTube beta studio seems to change functionality, once you apply your own subtitles, currently you can't get the auto-generated ones back - so, if I've messed mine up, you won't be able to get the originals back, so applying them is a risk. (Actually, you should be able to keep the originals, apply my script to them, and then upload the merely-reformatted original ones, but even that is some risk.) I've thought of downloading your full video, applying my subtitles, and re-uploading (privately) to my own channel as a test, but I was afraid of getting a copyright strike. Thoughts? I'm pleased to say that the experiment works, but it took a long time so it may be a one-off thing. On the other hand, with the above script, if you can get other volunteers, you could have a more reliable source of subtitles! If you want to check my subtitles for pranks or so on, download your originals, run them through my script, then check them against my pastebin version. There's a nice file comparison utility, 'Beyond Compare' (<a href="https://www.scootersoftware.com/download.php)," rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.scootersoftware.com/download.php),</a> which will let you compare them side-by-side. I can give you my email address if you like. Thanks.

first: thank you! Second, I am a bit confused. Why do you not just submit subtitles via the community subtitle tool? The thing is, from my point of view I have a lot of minor stuff to do that just eat away time from creating content, e.g., taxes, emails, description for videos, tags, setting links etc. So, for me even going to another website, running a script etc. just eats away time that should be spent on producing content. As much as I like subtitles, I simply can't spend any extra time on them except the quick review with built-in tool. Be aware that I use a stop-watch to monitor how much time I spent and I am often quite shocked that the "minor tasks" often take 5 minutes when I assumed like 1-2 mins, yet, quite often they hit 15 mins.
