All human development whether in tools or social structures begin as anomalies. Europe's tightness - lots of different people's with very many "economies" in a small geography spurred innovation. More than weapons, the techniques of sailing, coupled with fierce competition put the European people in contact, if only vicariously with most of the rest of the world. This was unique, and Europeans brought their fierceness and exploitative mercantile methods to bear every place they landed till European developments and technology of "war", learned across the globe and well as within Europe and the United States, have now became everybody's style of war and economics more or less. Luckily, human's can collectively choose our future and consciously reject European, or any type, of economics. Human's can and will adapt to the natural world and each other, by choice.
