Hearts of Iron IV: The Biggest Flaw?

Time to look at Hearts of Iron's biggest flaw from my perspective. Since the game focuses heavily on the economic and resource side, I noticed that one of the most important resources is not addressed and it is NOT oil... »» SUPPORT MHV «« » paypal donation - https://paypal.me/mhvis » patreon - https://www.patreon.com/mhv » subscribe star - https://www.subscribestar.com/mhv » Book Wishlist https://www.amazon.de/gp/registry/wishlist/3LJIXNJIUXJES/ref=cm_wl_huc_view?language=en_GB »» MERCHANDISE - SPOILS OF WAR «« » teespring - https://teespring.com/stores/military-history-visualized » SOURCES « Amark, Klas: Sweden. I agree: coal has to be modeled. You could also ad woth reference to your managment-video that coal needs more workers than oil to be exploitet. So actually you there have a very important trade off between coal-production and manpower for war. One very important ressource that is missing besides oil is rubber. Rubber is often underestimated, but it is absolutely crucial for mobile warfare. You can replace it with oil, but if you play with Germany this increases your thirst for oil.

very good point, I actually forgot about the aspect of manpower. I remember that the Brits in WW1 put a limit or hold on recruiting miners if I am not mistaken.

A suggestion (although offtopic): You should make a t-shirt with your quote and the corresponding vizualisation from a video you posted not too late ago: "combined arms warfare is good for you" - Or do you think it is too edgy?
