The Kettenkrad

The legendary Kettenkrad probably the oddest and cutest of all German WW2 vehicles. This half-track motor bike is still quite common at events, as such you will see some footage from Tankfest and Militracks 2019 in this video. Disclaimer: I was invited by the Tank Museum at Bovington and also by the Panzermuseum Munster. Thanks! I really liked your coverage of the M1 tracked tractor, and the M1 tracked mine. Your coverage of this vehicle, with 8k built, makes me wonder if maybe the tank production focus should have been turned a little more towards these, as these 'mule' type vehicles could have greatly replaced horses, and not as contained to the roadways as normal supply trucks.

Military History Visualized

thanks, yet I never covered the M1 tracked tractor nor the tracked mine? The issue is for vehicles one needs fuel and lubricants, also mechanics etc. I don't think it was really an option - and not just because of "the oil".
