I just saw a "Simple History" YouTube story on the American warcrimes at Biscari during the Sicily campaign committed by soldiers under the campaign of General Patton. I know you focus more on AXIS/German perspectives but I was wondering on your thoughts on how this incident may have contributed more to Patton being relieved of his command than the later hospital incidents that were publicly sited?

Hi Robert, sorry for the late reply. I don't know, but quite interestingly I read a brand new paper about Patton today and the author noted the hospital incident and nothing about Biscari (unless I missed it). I personally never looked into it at all. Cheers, Bernhard
