Thanks for this detailed critique of the trailer. I think I'd actually like to watch the movie, given the attempt to be historically accurate. Regarding your point about spacing of artillery and mortars, my understanding is that in order to get multiple guns or people into a shot (e.g., putting soldiers within 15m of each other, also a no-no), that the equipment and personnel are placed in very close proximity. From my time in the military, recommended spacing for soldiers was at least 15m apart (to avoid multiple casualties from grenades or larger ordnance), mortars were located in individual gun pits that were fairly distant from each other (also in a staggered formation, not in line), and lastly artillery pieces (I'm familiar with 105mm howitzers only) are also widely spaced and placed in a staggered formation. However, it would be difficult for movie producers to get close shots of multiple weapons if the spacing were adhered to. Anyway, thanks again for your review!

Wow, Bernard is reviewing Russian movies now! Way to go! ))) Jokes aside, I did not watch the movie, so I cannot help much in that regard; I will only point out that the "sh" combinations in the words "starshy" and "PPSh" make the sound of German "sch", like in "Schwerpunkt". "Stashy leytenant" is literally "senior leutenant", which was a rank typical for company/battery leaders and deputy leaders.
