Panzergrenadier Squad Tactics '44

Panzergrenadier Squad Tactics based on a German semi-official training manual from 1944 that specifically looks at Squad (Gruppe) Tactics not platoon, company or others. Hm. Interesting instructions. Any clues what the squad should do when they were supported by heavy weapon APC like the 251/9 (7,5cm L/24 armed) or 16 (flamethrower armed) or 21 (MG 151 armed version)? Should have some impact on the squad tactics i think. Thx.

Not really, because that is beyond or even far beyond squad tactics. As far as I know those vehicles (at least the 251/9) was in the heavy company, which was part of the battalion or even regiment. Depending on the situation etc. one platoon of this company could be assigned to one regular company or battalion. Or it could used as a whole unit to support the battalion or regiment. Squad tactics are the exception, since it is a "tiny unit". This is also the reason why all those examples are as a point squad. There were many other examples in this manual, but basically none involved the half-track. Of course it also covered the unarmored squad.

As good of a description of fire and maneuver tactics as you are likely to find. The added bonus is that the vehicle MG can sometimes provide the base of fire.
