German Strategy for Italy 1943/44

In this video Dr. Magnus Pahl from the MHM Dresden and I talk about the German strategy and view on Italy in 1943 and 1944. How did it fit in, what options were available, what strategies were proposed by Rommel and Kesselring? Merry Christmas and Happiest and most prosperous and healthy New Year to you gentlemen. God Bless You Both.

Your channel is always a class act, scholarly but very entertaining. Hope the restrictions over there let up soon, and 2022 starts better than this year is ending. I know this is mainly a channel for historic interpretation, but I'd love to see a discussion on what it would take to build the military Germany SHOULD have for the current security environment. Strip away guilt or political biases and address which specific capabilities and capacities are needed in Central Europe in the 2020s, and how that could be practically achieved? Merry Christmas!

thank you very much! There might be some more contemporary aspects covered in 2022 or beyond. Currently I am basically in rest and recuperation mode (also the reasons for the various gaming streams going on) and during the holidays I have to write my article for the Panzerkonferenz. January Videos for 2022 are already done, so I can focus solely on that task. Merry Christmas and Happy/Metal New Year!
