The next video will be likely a Time-Lapse of the Imperial Japanese Navy losses in WW2. It will feature a heatmap, additionally, I added a display (upper right) for occuring Battles / major campaigns and added a list of all BBs & CVs lost below the date that shows the last 6-8 ships lost with date, class & name. Also since someone pointed out that the European Day/Month/Year notation with just numbers can be quite confusing to US citizens, I replaced the Month Number with the Month Alphabetical shortcut. Thus, it should less confusing to US citizen to read.

This will also serve as a foundation for an upcoming video were the US Navy & IJN losses will be shown in parrallel, although I have to make some major additions to the code for that one.

Having played kantai collection and watched a number of similar videos for ship (read waifu) losses, this is depressing on two levels. I would have never thought that I'd be able to sympathize with a ship like this

If Americans can't get the way the rest of the world (not just Europe) does dates, that's their problem. Don't pander to them!

The 01-JAN-1943 is easy to read for everyone and actually conforms to the non-american standard anyway. I think it is an excellent solution that makes it more user-friendly for everyone, because also Europeans can't know for sure initially in the first video if I used the non-US or US standard. The new version makes it obvious for everyone what standard is used.
