If 2024 taught me anything, it taught me patience.

This entire year has been an exercise in making music for the sake of honoring my 16 year old self. I reconnected with my passion for unchecked output and removed all of the things that were keeping me trapped in both the expectations of others and my own expectations as well.

I essentially relearned how to produce. I spent a lot of time talking with newer artists I admire and trusted tour-bonded friends alike. I took myself down several pegs and earned my own respect. It was really difficult and akin to musical ego death 😅 but what I gained from all of those hours relearning was a renewed appreciation for the pure act of making music.

Between MUST DIE!, Hivemind, XBlade , and other unnamed and unfinished projects, I’m feeling more like myself than I have ever felt in my adult life.

All in all, 2024 was the first step in a long journey of freeing myself from “my job” and letting myself do everything I ever daydreamed of.

Becoming a bedroom producer again, which as it turns out is the only thing I ever wanted to be.
