Hey all! It is that time of the month again where I ramble on about how things went, how things are going, and what to expect going forward here on the Patron!

First, lets talk about the DLC from this month. We got to see the introduction of two new girls into the line up of characters that you can interact with. The playful Fiona and the diminutive Emma. The content seems to have been well received, which I am happy with, though there was a small error included in the initial release , which caused broken image links to appear at the top of each passage. That was a mistake entirely on my end and has since been addressed. So if you are still experiencing that bug for some reason, please redownload the zip file that is attached to the most recent DLC post.

This month's upcoming DLC will be an expansion on both of those characters, with Emma's story continuing to it's conclusion, and an expansion (heh) on the content that is available with all of the shadowed curio trio (Fiona, Nichole, and Francis), mostly fleshing out the relationships between the girls and adding some more events throughout the game for you to come across that involves them. Look forward to that at the beginning of April. (Also I promise right now, I am not going to do anything for April Fool's day, I hate that ****)

Next, I am very happy with how the Kali character commission turned out, I think that Tsuyukiart did a fantastic job depicting Kali and her slow downward spiral into gluttony. They really put in the work to get those five pages done in such a short amount of time and I am very much looking forward to working with them again in the future.

As for this month's piece. We are turning our focus to a character without as much content to her name compared to most of the others we have seen, and that might be why she won the poll fairly handily. It is the owner of the Bakery, (whose name is Donna btw), and we will be showcasing what it would be like if she found herself as a cow girl. This appears to be a fairly popular theme amongst the crowd here, and honestly I can't fault the choice, what better thing to do with big booba than to see what would happen if they were filled up even more? The piece will be handled by a newcomer to the commissions, but I am a fan of their work and if you like bottom heavy gains, then you will too. Look forward to the piece in a weeks time brought to you by MorbidlyAvearge.

Time to shift the focus onto the new project! The name of the game this month was more asset creation, and at this point I have fully furbished the first level of the house! There is still a good amount more to do, considering that there is still a whole second floor to work on, but I can say that we are safely over halfway there in that regard.

Have some screenshots:

I think that my understanding of perspective has been improving, and  I am trying to make it so that furniture doesn't look as flat as some of the early sprites did, I have gone back and reworked some stuff to fit in line with that. I am happy with how my pixel art has been improving, but the drawback of that is that I look back at some of the earlier stuff and I feel the urge to redo the work I have already done. I am suppressing that for now since I don't want to get stuck in a vicious cycle of not actually working on anything new, but the stuff you see here may be subject to change in that regard.

I also took some time to fiddle around with Jenn's walk cycle so that she doesn't look as stiff, as well as added some boards to the perimeter of each room, to make it feel less like each room is floating in a void.

My current work road for the game at the moment looks like this:

Furbish the upper floor and the backyard

Finish initial script writing

Title Screen

Opening Cutscene and introductory CG's

Puzzle crafting/ mini games

Second weight stages for the 5 other girls.

As you can see, there is still a good amount left to do before I get the first build of the game into all of your hands, but in comparison to what has already been done, we are well on our way. One reason that I am frontloading so much of the work into this initial build is so that subsequent builds will come out at a faster pace, since all the framework will already be in place and it will just be a matter of adding on to what is already there.

One thing of note that should be brought up, I have returned to work after 3 months of short term disability leave, so the amount of development time that I have available to me has been reduced by quite a bit when compared to the last few months. I will prioritize always making sure that the DLC content is available each month, but this could cause the dev of the new game to slow down a bit. I will keep working away on it as I can, but I want to make sure that there is still a tangible thing that I have made for you all each month to justify your support, which is why DLC will currently take precedent.

Lastly, I find myself in the lucky position that with all of your support I could justify commissioning even more artwork, and I am currently toying around with some long form content. It is still in the planning phases, but the prospects of it are promising and it will allow me to juice up the benefits you all receive just that little bit more!

And that is all that I got. Once again thank each and every one of you for your support, I will continue to strive to make sure that what I put out here is worthy of your hard earned money.
