The kind of content I didn’t know I needed. Can’t wait for el scorcho and Pink triangle

Dan-0

To quote Adam Jenson "I didn't ask for this"

Jim Wakefield

I went back to Pinkerton off the back of some of Oli's previous glazing. It's fine. Green Album better. I don't care if I'm basic. Simple Pages is their greatest song.

Lerm

21 Minutes of just chatting before we even get into the album?!?! Come on guys I want to listen to Pinkerton with you jeez. (This is satire)

Zach Ferguson

Love this. Hopefully album reviews can be a monthly thing. Chocolate starfish next please.

Josh Darby

I’ve found my people

Kevin Fleuriot

I didn't ask for it but glad it happened

Hok

I would love to see more of this kinda content. Just now mates drinking a few beers shooting this shit about music. I remember when I first heard Pinkerton.. woulda been 18 years old

SpacePotato1

This was something so random which i loved. Now ive added this album to my playlist. Tbh i did start listening to pinkerton at 18 years old Lol. I would love another album drinkerton again!!

Eddie L

This reminds me of the amazing SNL Weezer sketch and the debate about Pinkerton! 😂

Owen Woodley

This was lovely, the first time i listened to this was roughly 5 years ago i just became 18 and it really widened my eyes.

NorbutB

Loved it first listened to pinkerton when I was 18 years old

Bdazzle

HOLY SHIT IT HAPPENED! I've only ever listened to the blue album when i was 18 years old specifically say it ain't so

Tairese Dawson-King

I loved this, and I’ve never listened to this album, I wasn’t around for it I’m 18 years old Love listening to you guys talk though

Vincent

I unsubscribed yesterday and now feel incredibly guilty😬 I will return I swear

Benji

LOVE hearing the LCD shoutout; This is Happening is the album I credit as being “my music taste in an hour” it’s everything I want.

Ezra Mitchell

I myself am a lesbian and I unfortunately listen to Pink Triangle semi often 😂

Matthew Richardson

I've only heard a few weezer songs in my day, but I'm still very interested in the banter between you lads and may even end up listening to a few of these songs

Benji

Unfortunately I wasnt born when this album came out but from what I heard during the conversation 18 year old me wouldve cried to it for a week

Scully

Not talking about wrestling? Say it Ain't So? Here for this... Blue album has all the bangers, but Pinkerton def up there with the best 💚 (my first comment as a wrestletalk pledgehamner and it's about Weezer 😂🤘)

Jack

Pinkerton is great! Don’t love Getchoo though. Maybe I would if I was 18 years old

Findlay

when oli said weezer are "unfortunately my favourite" i felt that

Scully

Sorry to be that guy Luke, but Ringo's famous songs were Yellow Submarine and Octopus's Garden. Ringo, the third best Beatle...

Cameron Boye

I could listen to you two just talking over and about an album forever

Scully

Great show. Been playing in bands for 25 years. And "when I was 18 years old" we did a mean cover of Say it Ain't So. Love Weezer, love wrestletalk. Luke, Kid A is the best Radiohead album. Look forward to the four hour deep dive into the roll out of Weezify, Rivers' version of Spotify for only Weezer songs 💚🙏🤘

Terrance Stroud

Even when I was 18 years old, Pinkerton was not for me. That said I did like Luke and Oli's enthusiasm for it and wouldn't mind more music diversions in the future.

Andrewl07

I can’t even begin to explain how excited I felt when I got this notification lol. Congrats on reaching 4K Pledgehammers (temporarily at least)!!!

Evan Pilon

Hell of a goon sesh boys

Zereph

This was a lot of fun!

Captain Nick

This is absolutely fantastic, would love more of content like this. I didn’t listen to this album until after it was like 18 years old or so

Puhraiyah

Would love to watch the guys listen to any Limp Bizkit album and have Luke struggle to justify its quality á la Steiner Math

Marcus A Campbell

are you actively choosing to watch MAFS or is your partner into it and watching it together?

Rerun3k

Thanks! That was a lot of fun! This brings me back to when I was 18 years old listening to Pinkerton on CD. When the channel reaches 5k Patreon subscribers you should do The Blue Album.

king.j

This was awesome. Ive always been a fan of weezer since i was a kid and i got to see weezer, offspring, and greenday at a festival in 2023 for my birthday when i turned 18 years old !! (dead serious lol) radiohead in rainbows next ??

Harry Iveson

I loved this was fantastic listen I fist listened to this back when I was 18 years old I mean it’s like listening to it for the first time again great pod lads love you ❤️

Straightedge47

I have no interest in this band or kind of music. I still watched the whole thing though. I guess it shows that I could listen to you two talking about pretty much anything. Good job.

Sean Brown

Glad to hear I got the mention,I’ve never properly listened to the album by itself but I perfer listening like this,I need album reviews every week

Rob James

Really love this, been a massive Weezer fan since I was 18 years old, but I have to say when I think of my favourite Weezer album, it's Make Believe. That might be because the Damage in your heart does a lot of heavy lifting but dang I love it. I think you should do weakest albums, like Offsprings Splinter or Green days Warning or Metallica's St Anger just find the worst rated and review them.

Michael Keating

This was cool to hear you guys break down this album, I really wish I heard these guys when I was 18, I feel like I'm late to the party 😅 Keep up the good work lads, I really enjoy all your guys content

Matt Eager

This was a great podcast my dudes! Never rlly listen to any Weezer but this was a nice introduction. If i could tell myself when i was 18 years old to listen to this, I would

Ryan

I wouldn't mind if this became a regular thing. I remember standing in record stores looking at posters to buy. Dragons, Grim Reapers, bands and half naked women 😅

Harry Demetriades

what a treat me and my eighteen year old son bonded over this a couple years back

“Burly” Rob Burwell

My vinyls over in the US are anywhere between $20-$40 it is crazy and expensive to get. I got a local Jazz band vinyl for like $34 and I think I paid $50 for a special release colored record for J. Cole

Gareth Jones

I can’t remember when i first listened to this must have been when i was 18 years old! What a throwback

Matthew Richardson

I was drinkertoned when i first pinkertoned when i was 18 year old

Adele A. Lugosi

Sadly, I was just turned 16 when this came out, but my brother was 18. My dad was a big Weezer fan, and he heard this album, and was dumbfounded. I don't think that people expected this album to sound like it. During Uni is when we all started to realize how good this album is. Thank you for doing this podcast. I really lifted up my day.

Jamie Moffat

🎵 Woh ho, they look just like Luke and Oli... 🎵

James Wright

I related to so much of the stuff discussed here, from growing up flicking up and down the music channels, to how lost Clint is in Mafs, crazy that a pro golfer and business mogul can still be entirely emasculated because he doesn't fit a certain idea of masculinity.

mike wolfe

The calendar might say I was 21 but somehow I was 18 the first time I heard Pinkerton.

IvoryLost

I was 18 the first time I heard Pinkerton.

Asbjørn Fallesen

Great experience, this. Never listened to the album, and I'm 41, but somehow I was 18 when I first listened to Pinkerton.

Daniel Howse

Did you guys play Neopets back in the day? Only reason I can think of that you keep calling it "El Scorchio". 😂 Seriously though, this was great fun! I'd love to see you do more of these. If Luke can't get into Kid A (also my fave Radiohead album, Oli), try out Amnesiac or HTTT!

m1kend 75

Ever since I saw/heard Orange Cassidy, I hear him at the beginning of Sweater Song lol

Finn Lunnon

i am currently 18 and listening to pinkerton for the first time

Dogboy369

Thank you so much lads for doing the Pinkerton review. It was amazing. Keep up the great work as always, really takes me back to being 18 again, hanging with my high school friends.

Romeo L

Hell yeah!

Carlos arcos

Im 25 but listening to this for the first time took me back to when I was 18 year old.

Tom Sheldon

I just saw Weezer at Download this last weekend, all the while of them playing Across The Sea I was just turning to my friends going "its ok....she's 18..." No one understood, but I did 😂

Troy Inman

I wish I had been 18 years old when I listened to this for the first time, but I was 4, and my mom loved Pinkerton, and had gotten tired of the Blue Album

Greg Tyce

I was born in ‘76 and I have to admit that I just don’t understand this. Pinkerton was only ever mid…… it was an ok follow up to an ok album whose stand outs were the sweater song and say it ain’t so. Then they launched so tired and it was sooooo fucking pale compared to what Built to Spill, Pavement, The Flaming Lips and bands of that ilk were doing. Just mid, so mid
