Thought I’d comment over here instead of on YT. I do like your brief 30-40 minute podcast format (I have time to listen to that). I thought both released episodes of the Wrest is Wrestling have been very good. But if I’m being honest, a lot of the reason I got into WrestleTalk and that I am a Patreon is that I don’t always have time to watch every weekly wrestling show. I really miss the Smackdown review and now the weekly AEW Dynamite review is gone too. I know the algorithm on YT is the king, but maybe those review segments could live here on Patreon? I really love the work you all do and I’m a Patreon to both WrestleTalk and NRB. But I just thought I’d at least speak up about why I subscribe. Because it seems the channel is moving away from it. (These extra conversations are also very fun! The product you produce is excellent! I have no complaints about that.)

I feel bad for the lads, because it looks like a lot of people were caught off guard that there were no Dynamite review and no one is commenting about the podcast subject. And unfortunately because it is the Internet, the comments are kinda insensitive. I will say that although it was a very good episode of Dynamite, that is a very chunky Batman.

Around the time you started your Rock vs Cena series, I decided to watch all of The Rock's movies because I wanted to test the perception that others had on him as an actor. It’s been a surprising journey, but he has some gems in his filmography. Southland Tales is fantastic and is actually my friend who's a massive vulgar auteurism truther's favorite movie of all time. Also super excited for Smashing Machine.

Tbh I think more people were angry at the lack of AEW review rather than disliking this new podcast format specifically. It's kind of to be expected of wrestling stans when you make a decision that can be percieved as company favouritism, even when it's clearly an algorithm-based decision. For what it's worth I just enjoy listening to you guys chat so this is great for me.

Sorry the comment section was rough on y’all. What you are doing makes sense and I really enjoy this new video series but I am also bummed that there is no coverage of AEW Dynamite or Collision. I think Southland Tales should be added to the queue of films y’all are covering on Cut Scene’s “Worst Movie Ever”. There is so much behind the scenes stuff to talk about like the 3 graphic novels Richard Kelly wrote and wanted the audience to read before hand and the fact that is was booed at the Cannes Film Festival causing a whole new edit for the theatrical release. A lot of the weird ideas from it are closer to real life making the film age like a fine wine. It is such a polarizing film. People either love it like I do or like Stan think it is the worst movie ever.

I was talking to my friend Stan about this just the other day, he was really put off WWE as a whole by the Rocks interview and just considers it a bunch of corporate finger pointing, I told him to start watching AEW again but he needs to see some positive reviews before he'll pick it back up
