I have just recently listened to this and holy s***, Booker T on commentary was so bad. I laughed, I wanted to cry, I even paused it for a moment and had to leave the room. WHOSE IDEA WAS IT TO PUT HIM ON COMMENTARY?!?!?

It's a bit awkward via the app, but if you click your pledge amount (at the bottom of our profile), then search for WrestleTalk, then click overview, you should find it. Easier way of doing it is to log into Patreon on a web browser and get the link from there.

listening to it, had to stop, the bit where you talk about CM Punk and how maybe if it had not have been for that promo and Punk in particular, you might not be a wrestling fan - 100% same, I hadn't watched wrestling in YEARS (maybe close to 4 years) and only got back into it because of Punk/ that promo. know exactly where you're coming from Oli!

This is the first ppv I watched live in a long time it felt so real. This story really hooked me punk made believe that he was going to take the title to roh.

Awesome podcast. I have been cena Fan forever. To me that John cena Will get Fired was the big deal, I Didn't care cm punk leaving because I Didn't like him much. He was to just another wrestler to me. To me this end was a shocker. I watched live this show and I was prepared to celebrate John cenas Win but... This is the Best ppv ever.

I've just finished the podcast. MitB 2011 remains my most favorite PPV of all time. Christian Bryan and Punk winning was so awesome. The crowd was amazing. Just the ULTIMATE PPV (as I called it on a blog that I used to have). Luke and Oli this has been quite nice. See...hear you again next month when you review Backlash ;)

it is very spine-tingling! what saddens me is, when Punk was there.. the amount of people he could have amazing programs with was, very limited, Bryan, Cena and Orton and Christian and now Punk is gone and look around the roster and it is stacked with amazing talent and I just know he could make any of them megastars very easily. Its quite sad

Great listen! Love the longer format! Can’t wait for the next one, love the way you spliced in the promo packages! Just a quick comment though in regards to Edge and ADR, he didn’t go over that night because he was retiring, he didn’t know he had to retire until after the match, he said on one of the E&C podcast that if he had known he would have had a live entrance band, and also the original plan was for him to go over and eventually have a fued with Christian with him going over and retiring Edge - but still! Excellent work keep it up

Great job guys. I might be controversial here - I always enjoyed the first ECW One Night Stand. I used to loved ECW and had hundreds of the old VHS tapes. I would rave about it my friends at Uni. When the show happened - I got it recorded and showed it to my two non-wrestling fan friends - who were always very negative anytime I would bring up wrestling. Well they flipping loved it, they were just enchanted by it - I even took them to Liverpool to see ROH - they became wrestling fans just from that one event. So I'm unclear if that is a WWE event or an ECW event - but it is definetly in my top 5 greatest PPV's ever. Oh, I know you mentioned Halloween Havoc - 1998 had both brilliant and awful matches that would be an interesting one. Other WCW PPV I'd like to suggest are Spring Stamped 1999 which was a stacked card from top to bottom and it would be interesting to hear some backstory on Bash at the Beach 1996 - formation of the NWO.

just listening to this now, first exclusive WrestleTalk podcast I've listened to as a recent Patreon backer (getting my moneys worth of course 😉). I wasn't into wrestling at this stage of my life (temporarily stopped watching just before the dreaded Super Cena Era, and didn't come back fully until Rollins cashed in... i know...) and so i don't have the contextual understanding of just how big and important the CM Punk/John Cena feud was at the time, but you guys were really able to portray that to me. Absolutely love the structure, detail, personal perspective explanation and just everything about this, you guys are absolutely fantastic at what you do and i am ecstatic to be a supporter. Luke and Oli *clap clap clapclapclap*
