You thought the last WrestleRamble Extra was long, this one is 38 minutes longer! But here it is, the review of arguably the best Mania of all-time - WrestleMania X-7.

Steve Austin takes on The Rock for the WWF Championship, Triple H and Undertaker clash, and son fights father when Shane McMahon faces Vince McMahon in a street fight. Oh, and APA and Tazz have a match with Right To Censor. Plus the hardcore three-way and the GIMMICK BATTLE ROYAL.

On a side note, I make some jokes about Bradshaw wanting to join the army in this episode which in hindsight might not have been that funny. Oli made me feel bad about them. I mean no offense of course with anything I say. But if you argue that Raven vs. Kane vs. Big Show isn't match of the night I will fight you.

Enjoy!

Guys! BackLash is THIS Sunday! Who knew?

EchoOne

Lady partner, clear my schedule!!

Derek Ostrander

Luke, you are not wrong, Three Dolla Bill Y'all was amazing, Significant Other was their peak, and Choc Starfish was a dumpster fire. I have never, and will never feel bad for loving late 90's Limp Bizkit.

Derek Ostrander

WWF NY was awesome lol. I knew a girl who worked there and always got a nice seat and comped drinks. Met Stephanie McMahon there and took a pic sitting on her lap lol. I was 20.

Phil Stopford

VKM bought WCW for $2million. F'ing crazy! I love the way they used the Limp Bizkit track in the Austin/Rock Promo, love how it was all put together, from a professional point of view, it worked SO well too.

Phil Stopford

Good god you "ramble" for some time! The MI Theme song was on the album too. They also had Metallica compose I Disappear for the film.

Phil Stopford

I doubt you'll get the Four HORSEWOMEN over from WCW for the Invasion...... Luke......... lol

Phil Stopford

Oli just said the TLCII was 18 years ago. WTF?!?! That's kinda scary when you hear it out loud. Also, Luke, you and I have VERY similar tastes in women, ie. Lita, redheads etc.... (and SOME music too. Motorhead are awesome).

Phillip Dumas

Good show guys. Now what's the most underrated match on this card ?

Phillip Dumas

Despite the ending Benoit and Angle it's was building up to the rivalry to future matches

Brian Fogarty

Any chance of getting the next segment of Big Apple Takedown on the end of Ramble Club this month to make up for not having it here?

Paul Kew

How can it be said that the TLC Match is not match of the night. Surely that is just subjectively wrong.

Phil Stopford

Austin/Rock was match of the night. TLCII was awesome but Austin/Rock...... Come on. Plus TLCII had to live up to the 3wayLadder match from WM16 AND the 1st TLC match.

Paul Kew

I agree the headliner has the most impact but the show stealing match is TLC2. I think its more of a personal thing for me. It is my fave match of all time. If ever a friend has asked me to show them a match this is the match I show them. I personally live.

wrestletalk

LUKE: Yeah, Motorhead just don't do it for me. My old band wanted to do a cover of one of their songs and I just flat out refused.

wrestletalk

LUKE: Yeah I think the main event was match of the night. Apart from the triple threat for the Hardcore Championship, obviously.

Phil Stopford

Loved the Hardcore match too, just all the random stuff they did, like with the golf cart (Kane driving with a ref sat on the back is such a funny image).

Phil Stopford

Did they want to play it like Motorhead, ie wall of noise!!!!? Or mod it to a softer version? You just aren't in to 80's Thrash Metal basically. That to you is a bit like Death Metal is to me. Noise and a lot of pointless screaming.

Phil Stopford

I'm not sure if it was on the album, I just know 'Tallica did a song and music video for MI:2. Which is a film a quite like, in all it's naffness. I like all the MI films.

Cassie Chell

Love you guys going through matches play by play style so enjoyable :)

This month's worth a listen for luke feed durst Impression alone... 😂

I disagree with alot of the criticisms Luke and Oli have with this PPV If the video package for the Main event steve says that I need to be champion And I will do whatever it takes to be champion again. The first thing howard says after the video package Is "This match is now No Disqualification". Paul and Jim immediately begin questioning throughout the match Who and why that decision was made. When McMahon comes down to ringside and began helping Steve everything starts making more sense. The bookend to this is when Steve and Vince shake hands, Steve said would do anything to be champion again even making a deal with the devil himself.

Adam Burnham

Great stuff as usual (yes, I acknowledge feedback six years after the fact has limited value). Unfortunately you missed one of the greatest pieces of wrestling foreshadowing, in TLC II, where JR tells us about "Lita, jerking Edge off... ... the ladder!". In the moment, it was an awkward way of avoiding innuendo. In hindsight, the pause is an all-time great piece of comedic timing.

Kamala is racist now? Someone better tell the LITERAL CONTINENT OF AFRICA that it’s racist for it to be under developed… you’d think that’s be something they’d warn you about that the actual real life circumstances of a continent was racist but I guess that’s new post 2016. Any takers? Who’s gonna tell the tribe in Papa New Guinea that literally ATE Michael Rockefeller that they portray African tribes negatively and in a racist way? Anyone? Beuller? Edit: also luke: “oh I assume Bruce Pritchard just says what vince tells him to say” Reality: kinda of like how you treat Dave meltzer as god and just echo whatever he writes in his ridiculous little newsletter on literally EVERY single episode bc you’re incapable of forming your own opinions? Like that?
