Hello Pledgehammers!

Get in your wrestling-based questions for the WrestleTalk Mailbag for August 2023. This month it will be Pete and Tempest answering your questions!

Comments

Joseph Ravinskas

Is there a wrestling odd couple story you would have loved to have seen or would love to see in the future that you think would be as good or better than MJF and Adam Cole?

Jack Dolan (puckhead1994)

For Tempest, what wrestlers would you compare to hockey players? I’d like to compare Mox to Mark Messier because he can beat you with skill or through sheer force of will

LewisLC 27

Hey guys! Looking ahead to the start of 2024, who do you expect to see holding the titles in wwe and aew? who would you like to be holding gold in around six months time?

Rob James

Which wrestlers do you think will make great commentators in the next 10 - 20 years when they retire? And which would be absolutely awful?

Marc Joosten

Hey LIW! Sorry if this is well known - but what is the general consensus in the WT office on 2023 CM Punk? As in…is his new character a masterfully told story and all is resolved/mutually understood backstage or is this just CM Punk being unhinged with no filter? I can’t seem to decide if I think he plays the world’s greatest narcissist or if, especially with his history, he’s actually got a few narcissistic traits within the man Phil Brooks.

Jack Dolan (puckhead1994)

In the original 151 pokemon, there where the typical 3 starter pokemon Squirtle Bulbasaur and Charmander. What wrestlers would you choose to fill the “starter” roles and which would you choose?

Rohil Chawla

How’s it going LIW! Hope you are all having a great day! How do you see AEW evolving and improving (if they do) in the next 200 episodes from now?

Alex Clark-Thompson

If you could add just one more match to the card for Summerslam what would it be and why?

that guy who want to support

Since there is a rumor going around that Pete liked Persona 5 I wanted to know what's your favourite JRPG? Mine is kingdom hearts 2. Also Tempest who do you think is winning the G1?

Skye Shadowrun

Why do you think the women's divisons in 2023 still need to be better? Especially in WWE where unless they're a major name, most women on the roster go incredibly underused or booked in nothing stories that won't be remembered Sure, this happens in the mens division too but it's so much bigger of an issue in the women's division. Hell, I don't even remember the last time Rhea had her own storyline where she was the Women's Champion and not just Dom's Mami holding a title (Just a quick edit, I remember that she had matches against Zelina and Natalya but still)

Glyn Matthews

With the success of All In how do you think WWE will respond? Is a UK based Wrestlemania likely now?

Terance Collins

If you could push any women's wrestler to the top of their company to win the world title, who would it be and why? My answer (in an alternate universe) would be Rhea being the only person to tap Roman Reigns and win the Universal and WWE Championships. If done right, it could and should be better than the Tessa title win and run. I'd give Rhea a year long reign and in the process incorporate regularity with intergender matches.

Terance Collins

If you could collab with any other wrestling YouTube channel, who would it be and why? For no reason at all, except for my entertainment pleasure, I'd say PFK and DenkOps would smash. Or even having Chris guest report news or be on Quizzlemania would be awesome.

Sam Palmer

My dudes! What is a match from this year that you think is either underrated or doesn’t get enough love?

David Sycho Sid..........ney

Hey guys, you don't have to tell us exactly where, but I was wondering if you guys are sitting anywhere near me at Wembley? Section 122 exactly opposite the entrance ramp 🙂

Terance Collins

If you could book an AEW x WWE x TNA x NJPW x Stardom PPV/PLE Card, 10 Matches/4 Segments. What would be your collective Forbidden Door?

Misha Sumra

If the Avatar: The Last Airbender main cast started a Weekly Scripted Bending-Entertainment Show, who gets booked as the first champion?

Terance Collins

If AJ Lee was available to sign to any company as a wrestler full time, where would you sign her, why, and who would be her first feud?

David Sycho Sid..........ney

I reckon Adam Cole must be playing the long game with MJF, Roddy warning Cole about max is a red herring and it will actually be Cole that turns on max at the end of all in, it was a ruse all along to win the title 😉

Rob Buck

I feel like Logan Paul’s promo would have been a lot better if he had said “At SummerSlam, you’ll be on your back, but your fiancé will be saying my name” do you agree sometimes bad wording can ruin an otherwise decent promo?

Terance Collins

Who should dethrone Roman for the belts and why don't yall think it's Jey? I believe it's Jey, and I have been, since The Bloodline reformed. It's a family story, the faction is called The Bloodline. Jey as been the one taking the brunt of the abuse, and all the while keeping the faction and family together. He deserves the title and although I don't think it's logical for him to win here. He should definitely dethrone him at Payback. Poetic Justice on so many levels. PPV/PLE he won the title at, and it should be where he drops it, to Jey, for the ultimate payback. The story writes itself. It's not anyone else, not Sami, not Seth, not Randy, not Bobby, no Karrion, not Breaker, and sadly not Cody. It's Joshua Fatu, Jey Uso.

Terance Collins

If you could have any WWE Wrestlers compete in the G1 and win, who would it be and why? They can't have already competed.

Terance Collins

Do you watch Big Brother, and if so do you watch the American version? If so, which 16 Wrestlers (8 men, 8 women) would you put in the house??

Terance Collins

If you were given complete control over the Women's division in WWE, and given 80m on Raw, and 45m on SDL, and 45m on NXT, how would you improve it? What would be the first three things you'd do? m = minutes, lol

Red Claw

In a Blood on the Clocktower Homebrew script, which 4 Wrestlers/wrestling related characters would be the Demons?

Tiroler Markus

What exactly was the Problem that you couldn't do the watch Party for Summer Slam?

SirTof

Whats the better story at the moment, Bloodline, Judgement Day, or MJF & Adam Cole?

Drjos

With the resigning of the Elite, who else do you think should stay with the company they are and not make the jump to the other company

Jerrod Hazelwood

I was thinking about Jericho vs Osprey at All In, and it makes more sense to me now. Will wants to be better than Omega, and Jericho is one of his biggest rivals. So beating Jericho is important to his mission. What do you all think?

Keller O'Briant

Of all the many match stipulations out there which is your favorite way for a fued to end?

Evan Taylor

what would your wrestling entrance song be?

Oliver Drake

Thoughts on Grado vs Jeff Jarrett speculation for All In?

JS Bragg

Monday Night War Season 4?

Darren Lloyd

When do you think we get 2 sets of tag champs again in WWE

Socialist Stunner

Who will most likely dethrone MJF as AEW champion - and who should?

Kendall Avion

Which male/female superstars do u think has the most untapped potential right now in both WWE/AEW

ryley

Who's a wrestler that you never really understood you don't dislike and there's nothing against them but there's just something that you just don't get and you're just not a fan.

Hector Rodriguez

Why does it feel like with WWE/ Endeavor merger WWE will end up getting the short end of the deal and close sooner rather than later
